I have never had any problem on a 9.9 hp limited lake running the 15 hp due to the fact the motor cowling on the 15 hp has no horsepower markings. This boat fishes like a dream and the boat does not leak a drop of water. It has no cracks in hull and only a few scuffs from normal wear and use. The 15 hp Johnson motor runs flawlessly and has been serviced regularly. The Minn Kota Trolling Motor is older and has some wear but operates as it should.
