This boat has been stored in a pole barn with a boat cover. She is very clean. The hull looks to be in great shape and there are only a few minor scratches (see pictures).
The deck is also in great shape. There weren't any tears in the upholstery but there was a sun fading on the top of the cockpit seats (see pictures).
According to the seller, all systems and functions are fully operational.

It has been a fun and reliable family runabout and ski/tube boat. The boat has been kept indoors and only has 298 hours! The boat is powered by a MerCruiser 5.0 L (305 CID). 2002 Chaparral 196 SSI, Wonderful boat! Only the 2nd owner. 5.0 Mercruiser inboard/outboard. No reason we are replacing this great boat other than we have decided to buy a pontoon boat. This boat has been well maintained (covered storage area with boat cover, NEVER maintained on the lake in a boat slip, waxed each season, winterized and summarized, etc.). Snap in carpet is in good shape (not in photos since the boat and carpet had just been washed.) Bimini top.
