The white paint on the wooden hull is in good condition with only minor marking from a transport tarp a few years back aft of the passenger side window (pictured) The varnished and sealed mahogany front deck and interior are in very good condition with no repairs or refinishing needed. The limited brightwork still has plenty of shine but does show some pitting as would be expected on an unrestored survivor boat. The engine is seasonally maintained as needed and reported to be in running order, ready for the season according to the owner. Update 2022 - Cabin varnished inside and out and teak oil reapplied to the deck. New Teak Deck in 2014 ($23,000.) Engines Rebuilt in 4/2011. (per the seller) Newer fuel tanks. 4 new batteries and new battery charger. Newer custom canvas covers ($10,000.) in excellent condition. The seller has a three-ring binder that includes the original build spec sheet, and details of everything that has been done to the boat over the last 50 years. All information related to condition and operations of systems has been supplied by the seller. Seller reports all systems are functional and the boat has been very well maintained since being rebuilt. Newer engines were installed around 2015 during the rebuild. Refrigerator and original toilet have been removed from the head. We highly recommend a professional inspection before making a final purchase decision. Stock #283791 1969 Customized Lyman Sportsman with Flybridge, Custom converted to a Sportsman model This Lyman is located in Marblehead, OH and has been very well maintained and upgraded. It was originally built as an Islander model by Lyman but has been converted to the Sportsman layout by the current seller. The engines are not original and were replaced with Crusaders around 2015. Trim tabs have been added to help with weight redistribution when cruising, allowing the boat to not lean to one side or the other. The cockpit floor is made of African Leopard Wood, cushions are in good condition and show very little wear, (4) NAPA Marine batteries were replaced in 2016. The refrigerator and toilet has been removed. A porta potti is now in the head as a replacement. She will cruise 20-25mph and hit a top speed of 40mph on flat water.
