The current European fleet numbers in excess of 6000 class boats that have been built by four yards over the years. If you Google Artekno h28 you will find pictures and videos showing how well the boat performs and why it continues to be an active fleet. With a fine entry and narrow beam the boat works well to windward and moves easily in light air. While the boat races with a crew of three it is easily sailed by a single sailor. The boat is currently set up for singlehanded daysailing. Halyards are led aft to the cockpit and all mainsail shaping controls—boomvang, outhaul, and Cunningham—are controlled at the aft end of the boom. The main sheeting system is on top of a new Lewmar #2 traveler mounted on a stainless steel mid-cockpit bridge that includes a new Edson grab bar. The main is new and is integrated into a Tides Track System®. The new low stretch jib sheets lead to new Lewmar #16 self-tailing winches. The headstay sports a Harken foil with luff tape feeder. Current auxiliary power is delivered by a Minnkota 55# thrust electric trolling motor.
