Hi everyone, This is a rare beautiful 1985 Baker rally sport tunnel hull 20' boat. This boat went under a complete tare down a rebuilt from the ground up. Everything from the wiring to the gauges is new or rebuilt, including new high grade u/v protected marine custom upholstery with new plywood seat structures and new marine grade black carpet. I have seen so called reupholster jobs before that looked like a ten year old could have done better that they said was new condition, But this one is best I have ever seen, very professional and looks original. This boat hull weighs 900 lbs. and was designed for speed 100mph plus . Equipped with finger tip controls for the trim and hydraulic jack plate. Steering system is a dual cable rack and pinion. Installed now is hand throttle and shift, but I do have a hotfoot throttle control that can be included with the sale, just let me know you want it. Being a tunnel hull it will handle high speeds with out the wig/wag you get from a v-hull at the same speeds, it sticks the turns like you are on pavement. Installed white faced fara gauges, tach, speed 0/90, water temp, water pressure ,dual 10 gallon fuel tanks with gauges on the dash for each tank. Installed Mercury autoblend unit for 2 stroke mixing on its own so there is no oil to be measured. The motor is a Mercury 2.5L v-6 200hp rebuilt with less than 50 hours with stainless steel prop. This motor doesn't have a low water pick-up or bob nose yet, I could use one. I have found the bob nose low water pick-up on ebay for 300.00 and is very easy to install, this is only needed if you are going to raise the motor higher with the jack plate to get more speed. As it is she is still fast you just have to keep a eye on the water pressure . Motor was repainted and the decals were replaced with 1976 blue, (A mistake on my part but looked better). Tandem axel trailer included ,new tires, new lights and wiring, also has bearing buddies. This boat will make you the talk of the town or lake. One bid can win this beauty, so don't let a good buy slip away. This is a rare find being that it was only manufactured for 4 years from 1984 to 1988 with a few design changes with in that time. Baker custom boats, Building some radically designed powerboats, Baker Custom Boats provided some remarkable outboard, stern and jet driven watercrafts. Creating a varying assortment of vessels ranging from bass boats to pickle fork speedsters, Baker Custom Boats operated from a facility in Placentia, California. In 1989, Baker Custom Boats officially went out of business after only five years in production.( This information is copied from www.NADA.com ) In the year of 1989 Mr. Jerry Baker died. I have done some very extensive research on this boat on the internet, I have not found another one in any searches for sale. I have found that there are very few of these boats out there that have survived over the years ( by discussion boards) That number was one maybe two people that had one and were not selling. I have ben told that in the late seventies / early eighties were actually built by eliminator under contract from Baker, so technically it is a eliminator hull, not under the corporation name Baker Custom Boats Inc. That was incorporated in 1984 at his own facility. I don't clam to know all of the history, just what is searchable to my knowledge. This is a very impressive boat, a must see in person pictures do no justice. I have well over $14,000.00 invested. This boat was restored for my personal use ,so no corners were cut. I have ben in the marine repair business for over 20 years and I am currently service manager at a local marine dealer. This has ben a pet project for over 3 years. Many more options and details not listed, to many to list. any questions don't hesitate to contact me by email and I can tell you everything I know. Since this boat is listed as used/restored there is no manufacture warranty implied. (as is sale). This boat is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early if no bids are received before the end of the auction. $1,000.00 down payment required with in 72 hours at the end of the auction , remainder due on pick-up. I can deliver for $2.50 a mile within 500 miles/ over 500 miles can by negotiated . This boat is in indoor storage , So I would need 24 hours notice before local inspection. The address where located is ,31738 HWY. 52 Guttenberg Iowa 52052 Also included is a new dust cover at no extra charge. My wife says I have too many toys so it has to go, My loss is your gain. Boating season is almost here so don't wait,,,,,,, be ready for some serious fun with a boat that will give you sun burns from the lookers on the water. A clean and clear title is in hand waiting for its new owner at the time of pick-up. Financing also available. thank you
