The boat looks presentable and appears to be functional. The boat has some normal wear, as expected for a 39-year-old boat. The boat can be used as is or the next owner can give it some TLC.
The gel coat looks to be in good condition. A wax job would make it shine. The bright work looks to be in good condition.

The cabin had no musty smells. There are signs of some water leaks from the windows, however I did not see any dripping water inside during the rainy day I took pictures.
The cabins need new mattresses and some general cleaning. The heads are functional, with no noticeable smells. The galley looks nice with plenty of countertop space and cabinets.
The engine room had no excessive fuel or oil smells. There was no mold or mildew present. The engines have some corrosion and minor signs of oil leaks.

The Bayliner 3870 makes a great cruiser or liveaboard. The boat is powered by twin 210 horsepower Hino Diesel engines. The direct drive prop shaft runs in tunnels allowing for a shallow draft of 38 inches.

The lower station is on the starboard side. The main power panel on the helm was recently replaced along with other components such as two Mastervolt chargers and extensive wiring replacement.
The layout provides plenty of room with its large double berth, that extends under the cabin sole. There is a surprisingly large forward stateroom with a private head.
The layout provides another head with a separate shower that can be accessed from the master stateroom or mid-cabin. The galley is ample size, with a full-size refrigerator.
Two ac units keep the boat cool. The generator was replaced in 2019, it is currently not working. The seller estimates it will cost 3-5k to have it repaired.
