General Description The 44' Beneteau Oceanis is a tireless cruiser designed to deliver comfort and stability with its high performance hull. Accommodations: There is good light and ventilation. The woods are warm hues. The V-berth forward, in this three cabin Beneteau, is a double. She has hanging lockers, drawers, and lockers beneath the berth. The forward portside cabin has storage below the bunk and a hanging locker. The forward starboard head is a one piece molded compartment for waterproofing and easy maintenance. Marine toilet, bathroom accessories, wash basin with hot/cold water, shower w/separate sump pump, mirror, cupboard, and opening porthole. Main Salon: Raised deck salon, "U" shaped settee that converts to large double, cherry stained salon table which seats six. There are lockers beneath the settee and a bookcase. To starboard are two captains' chairs. The aft chair accommodates the aft facing navigation station which has chart storage, bookshelves and lockers. The galley is located in the starboard gangway and equipped with two stainless steel sinks, cutting board, hot/cold pressure water, salt/fresh water foot pumps, microwave oven, 8 cubic ft. refrigerator/freezer with 2 compartments and 2 compressors, trash bin, sliding vegetable baskets, gimbaled 2-burner stove with oven, exhaust fan, cutlery drawer, extensive lockers, shelves, and drawers. Her new generation hull promises comfortable, fast sailing. The mainsail arch enables you to sail in complete safety and at the same time gives you more space in the cockpit. The continuous chine over the full length of the boat creates excellent hull rigidity. With limited heel, the yacht’s sea keeping is improved without you losing speed. The expansive cockpit, with twin steering stations and a clever, innovative convertible transom that folds open to become a handy swim ladder and boarding platform (while greatly increasing the “floor plan” and living space at anchor), is a place to which sailors will naturally gravitate. Under sail, the Oceanis 41 is a solid performer, registering upwind speeds in the mid-6s on a mild afternoon with the breeze in the low teens and knocking off a solid 8 knots when cracked off on a broad reach with a fully unfurled main and slightly overlapped jib set on a generous double-spreader, fractional, high-aspect rig. In puffier air, the furling main and jib were quickly and efficiently shortened to balance the sail plan, the boat is a pleasure to drive. Brown Eyed Girl is in like new condition low hours and maintained professionally. New bottom paint just had its 2 year inspection.
