Contact Seller 1977 Blackfin Center Console / Cuddy Cabin,BLACKFIN 24A new project forces sale of an incredibly refit 1977 Blackfin 24 center Console. Virtually everything is new on this boat, and the next owner will not be disappointed.Blackfin boats of this vintage have a reputation as some of the most seaworthy and entirely overbuilt inboard center consoles out there. The combination of low center of gravity (due to a centrally located inboard) and the sheer mass of an entirely fiberglass hull yields a pocket battlewagon ready for when the weather turns bad. This is my 4th blackfin 24 and I cannot find a reasonable equivalent for even close to the same money. The hull is a Charles Janice design, with 24 degrees of deadrise, and I believe eventually became the basis/mold for the legendary Formula 223 and NorthCoast 24. This is a straight shaft inboard, so no jackshaft maintenance nightmares. Frankly, this is about the most simple and bulletproof drivetrain out there. The hull is entirely fiberglass, with no core materials. When reinstalling the shaft log I noted that the keel is over an inch thick of solid fiberglass. Below is a summary of work completed in the last year:ALL NEW ELECTRONICS:-Shakespeare 4187Hd Ratchet Mount Heavy Duty-Digital VHF 4ft 528-VW White 4.5dB-Raymarine RAY55 Fixed Mount VHF Gray-Furuno GP1870F 7" Color GPS Chartplotter/Fishfinder Combo w/ Bronze Thru-Hull TransducerMECHANICAL-repowered with a Crusader 350/300HP fuel injected engine. Presently has 200 hours.-newly rebuilt velvetdrive with 2-3 break in hours. -new seastar hydraulic steering (helm and cylinder are new)-new fuel tanks. 1/4 thick 5052 aluminum coated in coal tar epoxy. New Senders, fill and vent hoses.-new Alexseal paint (hull and topsides) (hull was epoxy primed prior to repaint)-new Kiwigrip nonslip decks-all new teak coaming and trim. Epoxy encapsulated and zero maintenance-entirely rewired with marine grade wire-New switch panel with resetable circuit breakers-LED lighting throughout (under gunnel, etc)-trim tabs rebuilt-prop was inspected and computer balanced-rudder and shaft log rebuilt and repacked, shaft was checked for straightness prior to reinstall-new cleats, hawse pipes, fitting, etc.-fuel tank access panel re-cored due to rot around screw holes. Removing this panel gets you direct access to the tanks without cutting up the deck.-new Racor fuel filter, all new fuel hoses, bilge pumps, fill and vent hoses, exhaust hoses are new, etc. There is nothing rubber related that is original.-new leaning post and cushionThis boat needs nothing and is mechanically perfect. It starts at the twist of the key (thanks to the fuel injection) and performs flawlessly. $24950, 4156868788 Be sure: Get a boat history report|Finance this boat|Get an insurance quote|
