This is a nice condition 1981 Sea Ray Vanguard Cruiser. We have owned it for the past three years and I bought it from the 2nd owner. We have a survey completed prior to purchase. This is a two engine small block V8s with V drives. They run very well and have no issues with them other than a little starting of the port engine when it is cold. Just needs a little throttle adjust and starts right up and they run very well. The canvas will need to be replaced as it was wearing thin on the top Bimini portion and the rear slip canvas window got a tear in it from a storm. There is a full size swim platform and ladder. The ladder got bent in the same storm and will either need to be straightened or replaced. The hull is solid with some spider cracks typical with its age. I replaced the impeller in the air conditioning unit and it runs strong and will cool the cabin nicely. There is an on demand pressure water system with a 50 gallon water tank and a newer hot water heater. The head is a vacu-flush toilet with a replaced seal. The flush ball will need replacement as it as a slight vacuum leak and will run the pump if not sealed with water in the bowel. There is new GPS and Ships radio with a the old one included. We were in the process of installing a new Clarion Marine Stereo with Sirius Satellite Connection. Everything on the boat works. We have taken it up to Chicago and back, gone to Michigan across the lake and have spent about every weekend on her during the season. We have stored in indoors for the past three years during the winter. She is a wide body and that was the unique quality of the model which was only made for three years. She sleeps up to 7, three in the forward cabin, two on the convertible dinette and two in the aft cabin. We love this boat, but due to changes in work and travel we were not able to put her in the water this year. We did paint the hull last season. She would make a nice boat for anyone single or family. You will get everything you need to get you going. Life preservers and safety equipment. It also has central vacuum, full galley, no stove, microwave. She was well loved by us, but we have not been able to get to her this past summer. She is currently sitting on stands at the marina. They have lift capabilities to put her on a transport trailer. She has never seen salt water, Lake Michigan only. What does she need?new aft laddercanvas (side widows are newer)one vent window starboard side blew out in storm (plexiglass in place as temporary replacement)The intake hoses should be replaced as they show some cracking. Oil ChangeTune UpA good wash and waxThat's all, a few hours work and she is ready for the next season. We have her surveyed when we bought her and was given a good condition, the interior is a little dated but well cared for.Fair Market Value $13,000 our insurance company valued her at $11,000.00. A great boat for anyone.
