1981 Litton Robert Perry 41, General Condition:A remodel/update to Rhapsody was started with a plan to include hull and topside paint, replacement of fuel tanks (including fireplace tank), rebuild of a few interior frames and teak facial parts that were needed to replace the tanks. There was damage to the support structure from the bad tanks that needed replacement. This included some damage to one or two bulkheads. This tear out is well underway and all teak parts that are interior finish pieces have been saved for refinish, or reinstallation. The tear out is mostly completed for the rebuild.Hull and topsides: There are 6 stainless steel chain plates bolted to a fiberglass knee, bonded to the hull with rigging of 1 x 19 stainless steel wire and forward and aft lowers.Sails: Main, Dacron 125% , Dacron 150% Genoa, and a drifterAll ports are opening bronze and there is a stainless wheel with an autopilot that is old but functions well. A custom fabricated traveler has yet to be installed.Stored are stainless steel davits, custom fabricated traveler, stainless swim ladder, self tailing 2 speed Barlow winches. The prop is has three blades. The engine has been painted and systems color coded for ease of maintenance work. A plumbed fuel filtration system has been installed. Electrical:The electrical panel has been completely redone and expanded. A dual alternator system to the main engine was added. It is 12 volt-65 amp and Balmar 210 alternators.Interior:The galley is very easy to work in. The 3 burner stove with oven, works well, located so underway use is easy and safe. Stove uses LPG from a 3 gallon tank located and accesses from aft deck. The sink is a double with pressure hot and cold water and a foot pump for sea water. Storage is plentiful and the refrigerator a decent size. There are sleeping accommodations to comfortably sleep 7. Bonus:There is a cargo container next to the boat that contains all of the parts removed and are usable, spare parts, some tools, inflatable, oars, wheels, sails, covers, safety equipment such as horseshoe, all lines, rigging, radios, and much, much more.
