1987 Jersey 40 Convertible Kept in a covered slip for the past 10 years, this Stunning 40' Jersey must be seen to fully appreciate her condition. This is the 2 stateroom, 1 head/ 1 shower layout, with a large galley down and a Roomy, Comfortable salon. Powered by twin 3208 TA Caterpillar Diesel engines, she cruises at 22 kts and tops out at 27 kts. The bottom has been stripped, Barrier Coated and re- painted with Ablative Antifouling bottom paint. Hull and Cockpit have been painted, Window frames have been painted. Both zones of Heat/ Air Conditioning have been replaced. Through hulls valves replaced, Full engine Svc (heat exchangers, coolers, belts, hoses, water pumps, etc) , Generator Svc too. Lee double spreader outriggers and center rigger are to be included. Inverter 3 bank battery charger with status gauge in salon Vacuflush ToiletWOT 28 knotsCruise 22 knots Boat had major done in 2002 by Marine Systems in FL, and installed in 2003. Only 423 hours on port engine and 419 hours on starboard engine since major!!! Brand new ZF gears, NIBRAL props, Aquamet shafts, and Bronze Struts installed at same time including new stainless steel exhaust elbows. Rudders are stainless steel. Seawater pumps just replaced. Why? Because I'm a big fan of offshore reliability. On a scale of 1 to 10 the boat ranks as follows: mechanical 10, hull integrity 10, electrical 9.5. Overall, the boat is a solid 8.5. I have not used the boat as much as I would have liked to but my age and health have been factors. I am convinced there is not a better deal on a boat of this caliber in the country today.
