I am selling a beautiful and extremely rare 1954 15 foot lapstreak Lyman rowboat. From what I can see, it is all original and in remarkable shape. I looked for five years before I finally found this boat. They are nowhere to be found in decent shape. It is absolutely sound, and holds three grown men easily. It is perfect to use as you would any other rowboat; fishing, or just transportation. Because of its weight it is extremely stable in the water. The rear has the two seats for running the outboard; an extra that has disappeared decades ago. It also comes with a removable floor which you can see on the picture. I have left the floor intact since I use the boat regularly. It could be refinished or painted. I have included a picture of the inside of the boat. It shows the remarkable shape the hull is in. Finally I have included some pictures of the beautiful woodwork that makes this boat such a showpiece. . With some effort it could easily be made into a display piece. I used a 4 hp Mercury but I’m sure I could have gone up to a 10 or 15 horse. It sat in the water all summer and never had a single leak. You can, however, see slight discoloration bottom of the hull and transom. As I said before, this is a Lyman which, for many years, competed with Chris Craft in the Midwest. It was made in Ohio The trailer is in great shape also. The boat and trailer may be picked up at my home here in Three Rivers, Michigan (near Kalamazoo) or I will deliver them to the buyer for 50 cents per mile, not to exceed 400 miles round trip from my home.
