This is a 1957 Santa Cruise Wooden/ Fiber glass boat. The brand of the boat is Build Rite. These boats where made From 1955 to about 1959 in Santa Cruise California. I have read that these where the first production wood boats in the USA. This model was the fastest Production boat made to date in 1957. This boat was built to run the bay in Santa Cruise hence the name. These boats are so rare most people even collectors have never heard of them. I have found one article from a guy that worked in the factory where these boats where made. At the time he wrote the article, he was asking if any one out there had seen any survivor boats, no won responded to his article. This is a rare piece of history!!!!!!! I have restored this boat with my father over the past 8 years. We removed all the floor boards and all the nail screws in the whole boat. We Completely sanded down the whole boat, we put original color stain with 8 coats of clear coat on the wood. Two layers of white boat paint where caringly applied down on the fiber glass part of the boat. Then three coats of Marine clear where added. The complete interior of the boat was sanded down and the same white paint and clear where added. An almost new 9.8 Mercury two stroke motor was added and we have loved the boat. Because this boat is so light the 10 horse motor actually moves it pretty good. The boat came with a 65 horse motor on it, So it could handle a lot more motor if desired. My dream would be to put a new 40 horse four stroke motor. The trailer has new wheel bearings and new tires. I just pulled it on the freeway about 140 miles last week end for a day on the lake. It pulls very nice at speed. I have loved working on this boat and it has been a fun boat. My life situation does not allow me to keep this boat. I have had it in a garage at my dads house for years, and now in a storage unit for about one year. I need the space and spare money at this time. I hate to see this boat go, but would love someone to buy it who will treat it well and enjoy it!!! This would be one of a kind and awesome on any lake. It gets looks and wonderful comments every where I take it. I am offering this at a fraction of the coast that this boat is worth. first one to push the button owns it. 2003 Bayliner 305 Ciera Cabin Cruiser It has twin 350’s with Merc Bravo 2 outdrives. It is equipped with a heavy duty windlass anchor with 50’ of chain, remote spot light, fully enclosed vinyl and canvas top for rainy days, canvas sun top, cockpit table that turns into a bed, depth/gps Garmin fish finder, marine radio, helm dash cover, trim tabs, compass, am/fm cd stereo system with water proof speakers, central air and heat, full galley with fridge, 2 burner stove, cupboards, microwave, and sink, restroom with hot/cold shower, 5000 watt built in Kohler generator, sleeps eight, lots of storage, comes with ropes and bumpers and two extra anchors, stakes for anchors with lots of rope. This boat has been our baby since 2004 and has been taken care of with love and maintained extremely well. There will be other extras included. This boat has mainly only been on Lake Powell. This boat is extremely dependable.
