699304 - Boat located in France. Owner of Vol au Vent since 1975, I had the opportunity to make several transatlantic crossings, via Madeira, the Canary Islands, the Azores, Jamaica, West Indies, Mexico, and USA among others. Built by Huisman Boatyard at Vollenhove in Holland in 1961 (currently Huisman is a boatyard of international reputation for aluminum racing sailboats and prestigious yachts.) Bermuda-rigged yawl type with centerboard, registered in Louisiana USA (VAT paid in France with French foreign ship passport) built in welded steel with teak superstructures, design inspired by Finistre a yawl designed by Sparkman and Stephens who won many races in the 1950s. Ballast (lead) about 1.7 tons. Thickness of plate construction: keel 8 mm below the waterline 4 mm above the waterline and the deck 3 mm, derives 22 mm, space between the bordes 400 mm by irons in 40 x 20 x 4 mm. Auxiliary engine 2 cylinder diesel, Yanmar type 2QM20H replaced in 1981, pump injection completely refurbished in 2011, witha power about 24 CV. Less than 2800 hours. Propeller 3 blades bronze new (2011) on stainless steel shaft 25 mm with rotary union, and former two-bladed propeller. Mast in Oregon pine, Main mast completely revised and repaired in 2008. Main boom in anodized aluminum anodized and painted in white by France Mats. Rigging for the main mast in stainless steel 1 x 19 in 8 mm equipped with Merriman bronze turnbuckles. Equipped with front cabin with double berth, Simpson and Lawrence head and washbasin, main cabin with one double berth and a simple one, galley with sink equipped with a foot pump and ENO gas stove 2 burners and an oven and grill installed in 2003, fridge trimixed type (12VDC, 220 Vdc, gas), Chart table, B&G depth sounder, loch and speedometer, electric box equipped with automatic breakers, battery charger 20 A, 3 output 2007, 2 batteries one of 105 A for service and one of 90 A for engine.
