Complete Refit in 2002! You are looking at a 1980 Coyote 38 Offshore Race Boat. This boat was built and designed by JC Simon (Jean Claude Simon). There is a brief explanation below about JC Simon and who we was in the offshore race industry. My understanding is that JC Simon designed this mold and used it for his company, Coyote Racing, and then sold the mold to Sonic Performance Boats. I understand that this mold became the Sonic 42 with the addition of the swim platform by Sonic. The original Coyote 38 did not have a swim platform on it. The swim platform you see on this boat was added to her in 2002 when the refit was completed. So now, this boat is actually 42 feet long. During that refit, new motors were installed. 2001 Mercruiser 8.1L HO 425hp each EFI's. These motor are in excellent condition. They start extremely easily every time and do not hesitate at all. During the 2002 refit, everything was replace in this boat including gauges, controls, upholstery, interior, paint, drives, props, and of course, new motors. I have had this boat out off the Miami coast in 4 to 5 foot seas doing about 50MPH. That was certainly not top speed, there was plenty of throttle left. But 50MPH was plenty fast for me in those seas. This is a true race boat. The hull is made of Kevlar. Very light weight and very strong. Built for speed and agility. The drives are Mercury #3SSM drives. I honestly don't know what that even means, but I was told they are expensive drives. Also, there is 2 sets of props. One was just refinished and trued as you can see in the pics below. The other spare set is mounted in the cabin on the boat. Also, I have a survey on this vessel dated June 1st, 2013. That survey shows the current value of this vessel to be $63,500. It was completed by Performance Marine Surveyors, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL. This is the popular galley down model with a convertible dinette table for additional sleep space. Up for your review a 1992 Cigarette 38 Top Gun with Hoss package.Comes equipped with twin 425 h.p mercs with TRS drives 4 Blade props. Its not the fastest offshore at 64 or 65 mph in fresh water but it always gets there. The boat has been rack stored all of its life until my purchase of it. Was used on Lake Erie in Ohio and has only 326 hours since new. The boat had a complete mechanical over haul in last 20 hours engines and outdrives were refreshed by Art Sommers Marine in Mich. Runs perfect. Interior is all original as are the gauges, paint, gel coat. and it shines like it came out of the factory yesterday as it has always been undercover since new. The trailer was purchased in Fla. brand new from All American in 2011 and only has around 3000 miles or less since new and shows. I can help ship this boat where ever for the cost of broker fees of importing to USA of $450.00. Fuel, Food Motels and something for my time right to your front door. Or can take it to port for shipping overseas It truly is a nice piece that any picky person would be happy with. Not brand new but super shape for 20+ year old boat. Only reason for selling is have not used in 2 years due issue with back and legs. Present all offers. But be fair. I also have a perfect 2 pairs of stelling stainless steel Big tube headers with tail pipe for sale. A pair if 468 Blower motors with mega blower complete.
