2002 Nautique Air Nautique 2002 Air Nautique, Direct Drive. Original owners. PCM 5,8 GT-40 w/765 hours. Perfect Pass, factory ballast and tower. Two year old Sunbrella cover. This boat stayed on a lift and covered during the season, heated garage in the winter. We live on the lake and have our own dock and lift, so it has been beached on a shore less than a handful of times. The exterior gel coat is in excellent shape even around the keel. The interior vinyl is a bit tired, and it does have the single axle trailer. We've got a new boat sharing space in the garage now, and need for this one to find a good home with a good family! Our son won INT wakeskate national championships from his time behind this boat, and it's pulled some world champion wakeboarders. (Extra Fat Sacs required for those folks.) I wish I could say it had pulled some world or national champion water skiers, but it's probably run a slalom course at least a couple thousand times successfully. These are very decent crossover boats, and this one will make someone a good choice for both skiers and boarders. Spare propeller and lots of extras!  Asking $19,500. Just dropped the price! Priced it to sell before I have to winterize it and keep it and raise the price in Spring. This boat received a new engine in 2013. It is a medium duty short-block which has a forged rotating assembly. The thing just runs. It has never failed me. I've used this boat in numerous lakes and rivers around the Midwest and it has performed so perfectly for me. Mechanically it is pretty much perfect. I have always kept this boat covered when stored as long as I've had it. The hull and interior are probably an 8.75/10 or better. It still looks very nice. The hull shines and is NOT chalky. I buff it at the beginning of every year, and then keep up with it the rest of the year. The interior was re-done at least once in it's life. All the seats are in good shape over all. Show signs of normal use, but not weathered, or cracked. They look very nice. The boat starts right up and sounds great. I get a lot of compliments on it. I've always ran 20W-50 Valvoline VR1 synthetic or mobil 1 synthetic through it. Trimmed right This is about a 67 MPH boat. Just last week I had 3 people, a cooler, and a full tank of fuel, on Lake Michigan chop we were able to achieve 64 MPH if that tells you anything. It cruises around 44 MPH at 3500 RPM. (obviously depending upon load and water conditions) We wakeboard, ski, and tube off this boat. It pulls you up in no time. This boat is a lot of fun. The surge brakes work. It has bearing buddies and I usually just grease them at the beginning of the year unless I check them and they need more. I have put thousands of miles on the trailer and I have never had an issue. The lights work. The Prop: It has a Stainless 3 blade prop on the boat. It is an all around good prop. It will also come with a 24P Bravo 1 4 blade prop. It probably needs some minor work done to it, but it could be used as is. About Me: I've had numerous boats, some that I've wound up sitting at the dock more than on the lake. Because of that, I tried to replace everything I could on this boat and fix everything right so it would be good for years of reliable boating. So far, so good. It is ready for a new home to be enjoyed more often. We are just very busy right now and decided to get out of boating for a few years. It's expensive to live in Chicago, and have a boat in Chicago, especially if you don't get to use it a lot. Summary and disclosures : I don't want to represent this as something it's not. It is still 21 years old. There's probably a few dings or scratches here and there. Also, it's got those stupid old switches that are sticky. The Voltmeter gauge doesn't work The speedo gauge needs the tube hooked on the out drive (it would probably take 5 minutes, but I have the GPS speedo so I didn't do it) The shifter/throttle controls has a little plastic piece on the bottom that holds the 'trailer' switch in place. That is a little loose. Everything still works but sometimes you have to move that plate around....not really an issue because you only use the trailer switch to lift the outdrive above operating height before you pull it out of the water. That's all I can think of. Other than that, what you see is what you get.

That’s less work for the crew and improved visibility for the person on the helm. J Boats’ unique spinnaker system makes downwind sailing possible for two. A modern asymmetric spinnaker attaches to the top of the anchor roller, is contained within a cockpit-controlled snuffer, and is stored, ready-to-use, in the bow locker. The spinnaker is hoisted to the masthead, 2’ above the headstay intersect, leaving space for the snuffer to shift on a jibe. Jibing is then easy. One simply lets off one spinnaker sheet and pulls in the other.

The boat was very presentable. The exterior was clean, the gel looked to be in very good condition. No excessive scrapes, gouges or chips were noticed. The full enclosure looks great, the plastic is very clear. The cockpit was clean, the cushions looked great. The engine hatch deck felt soft, and the hatch does not open on its own (perhaps a bad lift actuator). The helm looked great as it stays covered. The gauges were clear, switches were readable, controls looked nice, wood bezels were nice and the steering wheel looked great. The cabin smelled musty and had some mildew. A good cleaning will be required to smell fresh. The cushions looked nice with no signs of damage. The cabinets looked nice with no signs of damage. The mid-berth headliner panel needs to be secured and there is no headliner panel in the upper headroom area. The wood steps, floor panel and table looked nice with minimal signs of wear. The forward cabin was clean, with no signs of excessive wear and tear. Mildew and musty smells were present. The bow cushions were on the bed and they looked very nice. The engine hatch has to be lifted with assistance. The engines look to be in functional condition. There is some expected light corrosion, which is normal for the year. The bilge was clean with no oily fluids on top. No fluid leaks were seen from the engines. The wiring and systems looked to be in good condition with no excessive corrosion. The generator had some corrosion and missing paint. The generator is not working (the seller was told it needs a relay board). The seller discloses the bow thruster is not in working order. It is very well equipped with great options. Whether you are looking for a day cruiser, party boat or want to have extended stays away, the boat is equipped to do it all. The full camper enclosure is a great feature to keep you comfortable. The panels can be removed for air flow, there are also screens to keep out uninvited pests. The windshield and side glass are tinted to keep the sun out and to add style. Walking up to the boat, you immediately notice the massive swim platform. It would make a great hang out while at the sandbar. Step through the centerline transom door into the stylish cockpit. The tan cushions compliment the woodgrain helm and give it a modern touch. There is plenty of seating port and starboard. The captain will enjoy this vessel. The twin Mercruiser 8.2L MAG MPI fuel injected engines provide plenty of power. The engines have closed cooling for engine longevity. The engines are matched with V-drive transmissions. The boat has a Kohler 8KW generator to provide power while off the dock. Stay cool in the cabin with the ac, there is also a vent to keep the captain cool underway. Some other great options are radar, spotlight, windlass and a bow thruster for easy maneuvering.There are plenty of gauges and all the switches are withing easy reach. There are two booster cushions for the captain to easily see over the windshield. The foredeck has three hatches for airflow. There are two large sun pad cushions for the bow to relax on or enjoy the view. The cabin is comfortable and nicely styled. There are classy wooden steps with matching floor panels and a matching wooden table. The blue cushions are appealing and provide plenty of seating or sleeping space in the spacious mid berth. The galley is equipped with a refrigerator / freezer, sink, stovetop and hidden microwave. The head is ample sized and has a shower. The forward cabin has a raised bed with access on either side. There is plenty of storage in the built-in cabinets and closets. There is a TV for entertainment. With these great features this is a great value for the price.
