The owner states that this 1948 Chris-Craft 18 is in very good condition inside and out. You will be able to see by the photos just how well kept it has been. The boat was completely gone through last year to ensure that everything was in good working order. Mechanically the boat is said to be good to go. It needs nothing that the owner is aware of. I am in the final stages of getting a beautifully maintained and restored 1958 CC Silver Arrow 19' Classic Runabout. The Mary Jo III is having her transmission completely rebuilt to go along with her recent complete service and tune up on her Ford Interceptor motor. She has been largely restored with to CC Spec upholstery, CC spec paint (less than 5 years ago) She has been kept in a garage on a custom built trailer (included) She is complete in every way and easily comparable to any Silver Arrow on the market. She can be seen by appointment and will be floating behind my 1968' CC Commander 47' in sunny Redondo Beach, CA. She is one of 72 SA's ever built and a rare and beautiful vessel. For your consideration for the next seven days is a 1947 Chris Craft Special Runabout. Hull # R -16 -796 . This boat has undergone a complete restoration over the past several years and has won Best In Show awards at both shows it attended. First, the hull: She has a new 5200 style bottom with the best quality Bruynzeel Okume marine plywood available for inner layer and clear white cedar outer planking. The bottom framing was replaced using white oak as was original. All fastenings are new USA made silicon bronze. Side planking is also all new clear white cedar, and the decks are all new Philippine mahogany. There are approximately 12 coats of Epifanes varnish on the brightwork and 6 coats of Petit Easypoxy on sides and bottom. Now hardware:The hardware is all original to this boat and has been rechromed. All rubrails have all been straightened and polished. Fasteners are new, chromed brass, Frearson head screws on the chrome hardware and stainless Frearson, yes stainless Frearson ( I had them made) on the stainless rubrails, cutwater and flat trim. Engine: The engine is the original one to the boat. It's a Chris Craft Model K, 95 hp, 6 cylinder, based on the Hercules QXD series. It has been rebuilt with new piston rings, and rod and main bearings. All sizes are standard, meaning the crank didn't need to be ground and the cylinders didn't need to be bored. The original pistons were cleaned and reused. If it ain't broke..... Valves and seats were ground and reused. Valve guides were replaced. Carburetor was rebuilt too. No, this was not an all-inclusive $9k rebuild with new everything. There was no need for it. This engine runs great with great oil pressure and starts every time. And it's 6 volt! Upholstery:All new upholstery using top quality marine vinyl to correct factory dimensions. Original style Kapok filling in cushionsNew correct style linoleum flooring for originality. Electrical:All new cloth covered wire matched to the factory original colors and sizes. Original gauges all function properly as does the original horn. New bilge pump. It's 12 volt but will do fine on 6. Boat doesn't leak anyway. Generator charges as it should. Trailer:Also included with the boat is a 2013 aluminum Vantage trailer complete with all legal paperwork. Propeller has been trued and balancedNew Aquamet stainless prop shaftNew custom fit Sunbrella cover included too. In short, this little boat has been restored to very high standards befitting a boat of much higher value. The father / son restoration team has over 50 years of combined boatbuilding and restoration experience on boats of all price ranges and sizes. If someone was to pay to have a similar boat restored, the cost would be at least double the asking price here today. In 2014 this boat won the Best In Show awards at both the Southern New England and Baystate Woodies shows, scoring in the mid 90 point range both times. 1956 CHRIS CRAFT Sea Skiff. its in rough shape, probably too far gone to restore. HOWEVER,,,,,,it is all there as far as mechanics and hardware. Also, the transom is solid except for about an inch or so at the top. The windshield is also solid except for about an inch at the bottom. There is a roof frame but the fabric is shot. I believe the ladder is newer as there is no finish on it and it is in excellent shape. The fuel tank is in nice condition and still about 1/2 full....NO LEAKS. The engine shows surface rust but has been covered. The plugs loosened up easily, the engine spins freely, carb linkage moves free and the trans shifts smooth. I haven't tried to start it because the coil is broken and i don't have a 6 volt battery to hook up to it. Please look at all the pictures. the boat was last registered in 1993. THE TRAILER: this is the only 3 wheeled trailer I've ever seen and I cant find any information about it on line. with that said, I was reluctant to tow this 50+ miles home when I bought it. But it is, without a doubt, the smoothest and quietest trailer I've had the opportunity to tow.(that's after sitting for 23 years) again, please look at the pictures. it has a welded repair near the right wheel. Please make ALL offers known. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU COME TO SEE EVERYTHING AND MAKE YOUR OWN ASSESSMENT AS FAR AS THE CONDITION. BOAT AND TRAILER ARE BEING SOLD "AS IS" WITH NO GUARANTEES AND NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TRANSPORTING BOAT AND TRAILER. IF PLANS ARE MADE PRIOR TO SALE, I WILL DELIVER UP TO 50 MILES FOR $1.25 PER LOADED MILE.

The boat’s color is Chris Craft’s classic nautical blue and white with matching blue Bimini and canvas. We just installed brand new two-tone upholstery and infinity woven flooring throughout, including a custom removable bed for the rear section. The helm is stunning, with features like a captain’s chair wide enough for two to enjoy the ride. Conveniently located forward of the helm station, is the head. There is generous room in the head as well as a VacuFlush toilet and a vanity with sink. The combination of a wide 10 beam and large forward seating area provide exceptional levels of comfort with ample space for family and friends. The boat is certified as a yacht and can comfortably accommodate 12 guests to entertain. The bow seating area can accommodate five guest and can be converted into a dining area with the table installed or you can enjoy the entire bow as a sun bed area. The aft seating in the cockpit, incorporates a chase lounge to port, and is the perfect place to entertain. Just aft of the captain’s chair, is a wet bar with sink, refrigerator, storage cabinets, and significant counter space for snack preparation. This was a special year for Chris Craft which produced this Launch 28 with a walk through transom from the rear teak deck. Later Chris Craft Launch models require you to climb over the back seat. Ample storage can be found throughout, including floor storage, a rear ski locker, a large closet, plus all the under seat storage. Highlights include: • Ultra-plush cockpit seating • Old-world dash layout • Transom shower • Adjustable bucket seat and 2-person captains bench. • Large fuel capacity. • Top of the line Pyle Entertainment system with Bluetooth, satellite, and amazing sound throughout. • Electric hatch provides easy access to engine compartment. • Private full size head with vacuflush and sink • Factory installed windless • Cockpit galley behind captains seat with sink, prep area and corian counter tops • Twin-engine package If you need the trailer, I purchased a brand new triple-axle all-aluminum trailer last year with disk brakes, hydraulic surge and custom aluminum mag wheels. This is available for purchase for an additional cost. This boat has been well cared for, serviced regularly (just last week) and has been stored indoors during the winter and run in fresh water. It was just buffed and waxed from hull sides down and all the teak was treated. We have thoroughly enjoyed this fantastic Launch 28, but we are moving into a larger boat. This is a beautiful, must see vessel, which is ready to continue its classy life with its next new owner. GENERAL: Remember, this is a used boat and is being sold as-is.
