"KING OF THE BEAST" is a boat with notable lineage in the sport fishing fraternity and is one of a kind with over 60,000 man hours in production.. As a designer and builder of custom sport fishing vessels "Buddy Davis" (and the “Rybovich Family”) iswell known and have a fine reputation for his wood (cold molded) hull designs and since 1986 switched to fiberglass semi-custom vessels and eventually to a limited range of production vessels. Designed to 'run' the inlets of NC the construction and design is ideal for its purpose and has set the standard for many subsequent boat builders to aspire to. She is laid out for sport fishing primarily in mind with a large teak soled cockpit, fighting chair, bait and catch freezers and custom Rybovich outriggers. The cockpit area provides ample room and convenience for the business of fishing. The main steering station is in the hard top fly bridge (custom fabrication by Rybovich Spencer Boat Wortks in 1983), a center console with radar, fish finder, and a full complement of navigational electronics is provided to the helmsman. A full tuna tower with upper helm station and buggy top was also installed at the Rybovich Spencer Boat Yard in 1983 along with Rybovich’s custom and numbered outriggers. The vessel's interior was custom designed and installed by Rybovich Spencer and provides a roomy and luxurious layout with quality appointments. The engine are custom Jackie Bivins 8V92’s producing 750 HP @ 2400 RPM, cruising @ 1800 RPM and 22knotsthe “KING OF THE BEAST” sips only 40 gallons per hour. “KING OF THE BEAST” has had two presidents and one governor grace her fishing prowess and a known fish raiser with her cold molded resonance. This multiple wooden boat owner is interested in all offers. The work remaining on the boat is principally cosmetic. The hull has been faired with longboards. There is a full complement of sails, cushions, etc. The water and fuel tanks have been removed of course, but all are intact. There was a leak in one of the fuel tanks that remains to be repaired. This is a one of a kind classic yawl designed by the world-famous William Garden. Her restoration and cold molding were performed to the highest standards and she is ready for her next owner to steward her through the remaining work. Originally commissioned as a one-design by Stu Babcock of Dana Point, California. WHIRLWIND was cold-molded in western red cedar, two layers at 45-degree angle, using plastic staples. The chainplates have been replaced with new, the masts and booms have been refinished, and 40 ribs have been laminated in using quarter-inch marine ply. The work is excellent. There was rot in the deadwood at the prop shaft. That wood has been replaced. *** UPDATE March 20, 2018*** The entire boat has been painted, with the Topsides being finished this week. Below the waterline has been painted and sealed and will be final coat bottom painted right before she goes back in the water. The thru-hull for the prop shaft has been bored, and the engine, prop shaft, tube/packing glands/strut-cutlass bearing come next to finish her out of water work.

1968 Voyager Nicol Trimaran located in Hawaii. We have not seen this boat in person and all the photos were provided by the owner. The current owner has owned the vessel since about 1993. The seller mentioned that the boat is in good condition for the year of the vessel. The boat is used for island hopping and cruising in Hawaii. The original Yanmar 3JH2E engine has 1080 hours on her. The wind, nav, depth, and autopilot are B&G instruments. Radar is Furuno. Has a Maxwell windless. Has a Heart Interface Freedom 25 converter/30A-battery charger. Put in 5 new batteries in 2016. Solar Panel to trickle charge battery bank #1. Has a Nauti Kold cold box that works great and is very efficient. Has a Cruisair air conditioning system that has been keeping things nice and cool (new in 2009). Flat screen TV, DVD player, and AM/FM CD player. There are 24 aluminum folding steps that have been mounted all the way up to the mast head to make single handed maintenance a lot easier. Two extremely special Island Packet name and logo stainless steel fancy step plates were installed to make going aboard on the port or starboard side, that much more special. Purchased in 2003, upgraded and always kept everything in excellent condition until 3 years ago when I stopped sailing. Since then, I periodically run the engine at the dock, keep up on bottom cleaning, and keep a/c running 24/7. The engine runs great. The transmission is stuck in forward (not the cable). The trans never had a problem before this period of me not using my boat. The bow-thruster needs replacing (a great feature to have). Original sails are in good shape but sheet lines could use replacing. The Bimini Top is removed due to a rip and the zipper becoming unstitched. Dodger's plastic windows are foggy. Inside teak is beautiful but the outside teak needs the remaining varnish removed and reapplied. The complete interior looks brand new and has no foul smells. The bottom needs repainting. I got an estimate of $3811 to replace the bow thruster. Bottom paint job and a boat haul have cost about $1000 in the past. I guesstimate to remove, repair, and install the transmission could cost about $2500. I choose to Document (thru the US Coast Guard) this IP-350 in 2003 versus titling it in the state because of these advantages:1- Provides clear history of ownership and priority when obtaining a loan.2- Affords international rights, privileges, and protections when in international waters, 3- Easier and less expense of ownership and cost to transfer of ownership, and of course no need to deal with DMV.4- Required for certain usages, Additionally includes: Unused 8.5' dingy purchased in 2014 and has Mercury outboard that can store on a IP-350's stern rail mount. Both have been stored indoors. All manuals and documents for every component, kept well filed in an Island Packet documents bag. All receipts and files from time of purchase in 2003. Two large plastic bins that contain lots and lots of spare maintenance parts. New condition and unused spare dodger (but in yellow). Two extremely special Island Packet name and logo stainless steel fancy step plates were installed to make going aboard on the port or starboard side, that much more special. Purchased in 2003, upgraded and always kept everything in excellent condition until 3 years ago when I stopped sailing. Since then, I periodically run the engine at the dock, keep up on bottom cleaning, and keep a/c running 24/7. The engine runs great. The transmission is stuck in forward (not the cable). The trans never had a problem before this period of me not using my boat. The bow-thruster needs replacing (a great feature to have). The original Yanmar 3JH2E engine has 1080 hours on her. The wind, nav, depth, and autopilot are B&G instruments. Radar is Furuno. Has a Maxwell windless.
