This is a classic Sparkman & Stephens designed ocean-racer, with a great reputation as a very well-balanced, comfortable, and strong sailing vessel. I've owned it for 5 years and have maintained it in good condition. It's ready to take on the Harvest Moon Regatta, sail down the ICW, or do a Gulf crossing. This model boat has sailed around the world many times and makes for an excellent cruiser or weekender. The Yankee 30 is a classic design with a very good reputation for being over-built and handling well under sail. The mast is tall, keel-stepped, and provides a high-aspect sail plan. Motion comfort is increased due to high ballast to displacement and narrow beam, which affords a stiff, dry ride to weather. The rudder is bustle and skeg-mounted, providing good steering. My favorite feature is that this boat will sail beautifully by herself with simple sheet-to-tiller steering on almost all points of sail. All systems are in good working condition, and I take the boat out regularly in Galveston Bay, often single-handed. I'm selling it to upgrade to a larger boat. I have posted an information page at http://www.yankee30.com that lists technical specs and describes some of the boat's amenities, which are replicated below. It is currently berthed at Legend Point Marina in Kemah, Texas. The slip is transferrable and leased monthly. There are no liens on this boat. The registration is current, and I have a clean title for both the hull and the outboard. Many years ago the boat was USCG documented, but is no longer. It could return to USCG documentation if desired. Please view a more full set of pictures at: http://clients.nashbaker.com/vim I am selling this boat as as is with no warranty, expressed or implied as to condition, description and usability. I will make every reasonable effort to disclose any defects or other items of concern specifically relating to this item and its contents. If you have any questions, please contact me through eBay and I will answer promptly. I have spent a lot of time with this boat, and know every square inch of it. I'm happy to give you my honest opinion of any matter that you'd like to discuss. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS Draft 4 ft. 10 in. Beam 9 ft. LOA 30 ft. LWL 23 ft. Displacement 8700 lb.
