1987 Regal 25ft Royale fishing boat. I was told by several reliable people that this boat was designed by Bertram boats and built by Regal marine. I was also told that they are rare. I can tell you it is a very solid well made boat, much higher in quality then Regal's I work on of the same vintage. This boat is in extremely good condition for its year. The boat runs great,recently serviced, there is less then 100 hours on the engine and the stern drive was just completely serviced with new impeller and Hi-Performance gear lube.The bellows shift boot was just replaced as well. Here is a rare 1978 Penn Yan 26 Sport Fisher Twin in VERY nice shape! 26'9" length; 10' beam; draws only about a foot and a half or so of water, and props and shafts are protected in the molded-in "tunnels" (i.e. "Tunnel Drive"). Thesec boats were built in upstate NY and prized on the Great Lakes for their stability in the rough chop which is characteristic of the lakes. They are well-built heavy boats- not very fast, but made for fishing, with a large wide cockpit. This baby was repowered with twin short-block Chevys, for reliability, ease of maintenance and power.
