Classic MacGregor 25 "Brown Sugar" This is a very clean and very good condition boat. She is currently being sailed in Galveston bay. She has a swing keel, a pop up roof 6' 7" height, and a brown canvas cover over companion way and matching jib and main sail cover and foreword hatch and bimini top Sails are in very good condition. Very clean closed head with porta potty. If you're looking for a pick up and go sail boat this is it. I have a Vip galvanized trailer with led lights she sits pretty on double axle that comes with her. The cushions could use a dry cleaning but are ok the way they are. There are probably things you could find to do with her as far as clean up and little projects here and there as with any boat but this is not a project it's ready to play with as is I sail her every weekend as she sits now and she is a great vessel. I'm just looking for larger now to sail across the ocean. Have a look at the pictures you will be impressed she is beautiful. If you have any questions about her please message me 6823334406 thanks I will separate boat from trailer if interested just call or text or message me on here and ask or make offer

Excellent Daysailer. I learned to sail solo on Lake George with this boat. Handles like a dream. I've slept on it a number of time. The ads will say it sleeps four. I'd say two adults and two small children. The hull has been scraped, but not painted. I kept it on the trailer when I wasn't using it. So, I didn't need to paint it. I've replaced all the wiring, the stern light, the winch strap for the trailer, and the cable for the swing keel. The cushions have all been recovered with vinyl. Last July, I had the plugs, points, head gasket replaced, and the carb rebuilt on the motor. It's old. But, if you let it warm up for a few minutes, it will run all day. Boat comes with: --main and jib sails-- like new sheets, halyards, dock and anchor lines (bought at the beginning of last season).--'67 Envinrude 9.5 hp 2 cycle motor w/ long shaft (runs well)--two 5 gal. fuel tanks--new Deep Cycle Battery--new portable head. --two life jackets--3 step hook ladder--trailer is included in sale (2" ball required)--10lb stockless anchor and 8lb mushroom anchorThe usual info:Hull: monohull w/ swing keelRig: masthead sloopLOA: 22'LWL:18'Beam: 7.33'Draft: 1' (keel up)/ 6' (keel down)Displacement 1800lbs.

2010 Macgregor 26 Quick, stable and responsive, the revolutionary MacGregor 26 is the fastest and best handling of any of the trailerable cruising sailboats. It offers high-speed powering without compromising sailing performance. Have the peace and quiet of sailing, or the fun of powering around at a good clip over 24 mph. Its high-speed under power opens up cruising waters that are out of reach for a conventional sailboat. The MacGregor 26 is also trailerable making still more waterways accessible. The trailer also makes it possible to avoid the expense of permanent in-the-water storage. The weather-tight cabin offers full, standing headroom and comfortable accommodations for family cruising. On the starboard side is the fully enclosed head compartment. The galley - to port - has a sink, tile counter, and space for a 2-burner stove. There is a large storage cabinet below the galley and compartments designed for small items (plates, silverware, bottles, etc.) on its forward face.Five can be seated around the table. A foredeck hatch provides lots of ventilation. Notice the big windows. A full double berth is at the forward end of the cabin. The large dinette is raised for a view out of all the windows when seated. The table has a clear, protected inset for a chart of your sailing area. There are storage compartments under every seat and berth. For a boat of this size, there is an enormous amount of storage space. The table lowers to convert the dinette into a double berth. The front seat-back lifts out to create an uninterrupted sleeping area that is 13 ft. long. Unlike many boats, the mast post does not interfere with any of the berths. Looking from the forward end of the cabin, one can see the large entry - getting in and out of the cabin is easy. The removable step conceals the ballast tank filling valve. The head is to the left, and the big rear berth is directly below the cockpit. For ease of maintenance there is no visible wood on the boat. The cabin is carpeted and high quality fabrics are used throughout. There are several good spots for electronics. In the stern the rear berth is as large as a king-sized bed (7 ft. 7 in. x 6 ft. 3 in.) with full sitting headroom over a large area. There is a small storage area under this berth. The 26 will sleep six. The cockpit seats are over 6 feet long. The wheel steering is standard. The optional cushions provide extra comfort. The steering seat combines security with the convenience of a walkthrough transom. MacGregor developed the concept of a water ballast system. It has since been widely copied and is now the standard throughout the trailerable sailboat industry. This system makes it possible to have a very lightweight boat for powering and trailering, and the heavy stability necessary for safe sailing. After launching, the transom valve is opened and a tank in the bottom of the hull is gravity filled with 1400 lbs. of sea water. It takes about five minutes. The valve is then closed, trapping th

Great condition! We purchased a larger sailboat, time to move the Mac on to its next owner! See pictures below description. ALL pictures of the actual hull for sale As you may know Macgregor is no longer building sailboats. The new company Tattoo Yachts, is also no longer producing a 26 foot sailboat. The supplies of these boats are limited to the boats that are already made. This is a perfect opportunity to purchase one of the best condition 26M sailboats out there. The trailer is the superior (despite popular belief) steel trailer. (later models have an aluminum frame, but still have a STEEL tongue, axle, bunk supports which all rust/fail as well). The trailer with this boat was professionally rebuilt with a 1/4" thick steel tongue, rustproofed on the inside (where ALL the Macgregor trailers fail first) and painted with rustproofing paint. There is a new surge brake actuator, as well as new brake calipers and brake pads. The brake line is made of stainless steel. The lighting system is newly wired with LED lights. New winch, winch strap, new security chain, new tongue winch. Bunk boards rebuilt as well. The factory trailer is superior to many aftermarket ones, as it allows the lowest trailering height (allowing launching in shallow ramps) AND a front ladder to dramatically ease launchingLots of well thought out upgrades!SailsNEW (used 1 season) MainsailGeneoa with UV strip sewn in (cleaned, serviced, folded)Roller furler with line led aft with cleat for Geneoaboots installed on spreader endsSail handlingTopling lift installedMain halyard led aftStock rotating mast with locking pin (for trailering or running down wind)ElectronicsGarmin 440s GPS Plotter and depth sounder (shoot through hull) included/installedStandard Horizon VHF radio with DSC - hooked up to GPSWired remote VHF Mic in cockpitmast top mounted VHF antennaElectrical8 circuit Blue Sea breaker panellight control subpanel2 Marine Deep Cycle batteries (starting and house) - Group 24Battery switches with Automatic Charging relay (automatically charges bothbatteries, but keeps them separated when not being charged!)110 Inverter with plug12v plugs in cockpit and cabinLightingStandard macgregor lightsAnchor light on mast topforedeck lightcockpit light under consoleHead5 gallon portable headGalleyOrigo Alcohol stoveelectric fresh water water pump with 50 gallon flexible tank and transom fill.Large cooler with tiedown2 piece table, doubles as a cockpit tableInteriorStock Macgregor cushionsNew custom carpetstorage bins and pocketsSeveral grab handles mounted throughout the interiorSolar vent fan in foredeck hatchStainless Steel hatch holder2 fire extinguishersCockpitCustom Stern rail seats installedCustom rudder control line with blocks to reduce lifting effort !Upgraded steering cablesLarge Ritchie compassCustom made, 2 piece hatchboards with screens and shades (in addition to factory solid hatchboard)Custom transom mesh guard (keep stuff from falling out the back!)Transom swim laddergrab rail mounted on hatchEngineRECENTLY SERVICED - carbs rebuilt/sync'ed; impeller replaced.Turnkey ready to go!50 HP Honda outboard with engine steering linkageupgraded throttle cables12 Gallon fuel tankCanvasCustom padded lifeline coversCustom Sailcover3 Custom made sheetbagscustom chart pockets in cockpit6' Bimini covers the entire cockpitMast handling:Mast raising system with brake winch with removable baby staysPVC roller furler support for traileringquick release removable spreadersOthermast top mounted windexFlag pole with flag for sternburgee flag block on spreader with stay mounted cleat2:1 blocks installed for daggerboard raising'Jam' cleat installed for easier daggerboard handlingCustom/improved rudder raising system with pop-up cleats and jamb cleatsAnchorDelta plow200' anchor rode6' chainTrailerNew tounge winchnew surge brake2" trailer ball requiredNew stainless steel brake lineNew tires and wheelsLED lights Please note, these pictures were taken over the years. 2002 Magregor 26x There is a lot of great information about these boats online. I have thoroughly enjoyed this boat for the last 5 years and almost everything on it has been upgraded and continually maintained. It is not a project, it is turn key and ready to go.2015 - Brand new motor, control cables & steering, running rigging, interior cushions, carpet and electronics. The motor is a brand new model Suzuki DF20A fuel injected and was purchased March 2015 and has the remainder of the 3 year factory warranty. During the installation new teleflx exteme shift and throttle control cables, telelex rack & cable and fuel lines/filter were installed. The controls are flushmount and the motor is mounted on an adjustable jackplate with all cables and wiring concealed and run directly to the motor. The motor averages .3gph~5mph, .5gpph~6mph, and 1gph~9mph.Sails: Cruising Weight North Sails main with 3 reef points, shelf foot & cunningham. Main control via double mainsheets led back to the helm. Original Doye main and boom included. CDI furler, Factory Jib, additional working Jib and spinnaker included. Sail control with cabintop tracks & 7' schaffer T tracks along the cockpit combing. Jib, main sheet, and furling lines led along the 7' tracks to easy reach at the helm & multiple cam cleats (10) for easy sail control. Exterior- all running rigging new and color coded. Full cockpit deck and swim platform with ladder. Full factory cockpit cushions, boarding ladder, large bimini with rear supports & 6' standing headroom underneath. Factory lower sunbrella bimini also. (can be set on the 7' tracks and slid along the entire cockpit) Sunbrella mainsail cover, 22 lb delta plow anchor on windline bow roller, Danforth stern anchor and mount, 8 stainless dock cleats, LED running and anchor lights. Bottom coated with 20 mils of 2 part high build epoxy and Petit SR Pro bottom paint (2014) Original trailer used twice a year & overhauled in 2012.Interior - 20 gallon fresh water tank, electric fresh water pump, & stainless sink. Stainless flushmount alcohol stove and butcherblock countertop. Custom cabinets under every seat & unused area for dry organized storage. Wood dining table with plexi insert (original table/berth included). Led Lighting throughout including above V berth, aft berth & bathroom. All leds on dimmers. 95% of wire replaced with marine tinned duplex including mast wiring & 3 deep cycle batteries. New standard horizon VHF in 2015 along with 4 speaker marine stereo & wired remote at pedestal, 2 speakers above V berth and 2 weatherproof in cockpit. 100% dry and without any leaks or smells. Numerous other interior modifications for comfort & access. This is one of the last 26Xs made before the switch to the 26M. Throughout the run of the X the model progressed and several significant changes were made by the factory for safety, durability, and reliability. According to them this included a different deck layup & lamination system around 2000 that was much stronger with no balsa coring. It also included a steering redesign with a different console, steering box, stainless vs aluminum rudder mounts, resigned rudder blades and a lot of other little changes to the interior & exterior build. This being one of the last ones off the line has all of the factory updates. I have always kept this boat well maintained and ready to go with no issues "waiting" to be fixed. It has never once left us stranded or in a difficult situation. There many other features on it best discussed in person. We are still using it regularly and it is currently slipped in the Virginia ICW in fresh water until January 2016 when it will be put on the trailer and kept at the same location with onsite ramp. My reason for selling is that I have bought a larger boat. If you are a serious buyer please contact me for a phone number and time to come take a look at it in person. I am willing to spend weekend going over everything on it and helping the buyer load it on the trailer if not local. Most of the pictures were taken 9/15/2015.
