1963 Highlander # 365 built by D&M all-mahogany “A Super Natural” 20 foot mahogany Highlander class sailboat in great condition ready to sail away today. Race, daysail or cruise worthy. Stable, fast and VERY comfortable to sail with two 9 foot bench seats and a boom which tacks above head-level. 1963 Douglass and Mcleod built Highlander from cold-molded mohogany. The best builder of Highlander sailboats by far. This boat is fitted with a new aluminum spar and boom (with original wood boom) road worthy trailer, spinnaker, race and cruise jibs, full cover and two rudders. Rigged for racing, daysailing or cruising. The bottom has been West System epoxied and fiberglassed for maximum durability and speed. Very stable and fast. The transom has never been mounted with a motor mount, but could be. The mahogany is golden but with bumps and bruises from gentle use over years. This boat has been lovingly cared for and updated. Comes with a full documentation of ownership including class measurement certificate for racing, original brochures and enough to impress the next set of judges at a wooden boat show! Has been first in class at several Midwest wood boat shows. This boat has only been sailed in fresh water and has never left Ohio since it was built in 1963. $16,500 or best offer. You will not be disappointed. Doug (614) 499-1503.

Rhodes Bantam 14-foot of Honduran mahogany and African sapele plywood. A classic racing dinghy with lovely bronze hardware and wooden mast. Hull #1381, designed by Phillip Rhodes and built 2/1966 by Bill Kallusch Boats of Sodus Point N.Y.. This boat saw several years at Sodus bay (Lake Ontario) in New York. Later she was moved to Lake Champlain in Vermont for many years. She has sailed Kentucky Lake since 2006, infrequently of late due to owner being 28 years older than the boat... Restoration was completed in early 2008 included replacement of nearly all of the structural mahogany. Full treatment with CPES epoxy and 3M-5200 sealant allows the prospect of another 49 years of service. Three sails: main, jib and spinnaker all in excellent condition. Also included is a galvanized trailer. Boat is complete and ready to sail beautifully. Built for crew of two, with solo sailing accommodated. Hull is varnished inside and painted outside. The boat can be easily trailed as one person can lift and step the wooden mast. A great performing boat with beautiful traditional touches.

Please check transport costs from Flowery Branch, Georgia. Up for sale is my lovely 1972 Catalina 27 tall rig sail boat with an Atomic Four inboard. She is docked at Aqualand in a slip paid for til July. This is the finest Catalina 27 on the lake by far, please be a serious buyer when you schedule a time to see her. This is a clean, clean example of the world's most popular cruiser. If you have done your research online you will understand why this boat is so popular. She has been refitted extensively over the past 2 years. The main items are: Brand new Rolly Tasker mainsail, used 4 times. Partial battens with 1 reef point. 50 watt solar panel with charge controller. New KiwiGrip non-skid. Interlux Brightsides on the deck. All the teak redone. All the ugly fake wood laminate recovered. New bilge pump. Solar ventilation fan on the forward hatch. New bimini. New canvass. Beautiful new wood tiller. Winches overhauled. Mast inspected, sheaves lubed, and lights overhauled. All new Staset X running rigging. New battery switch. Custom Mahogany table. Brand new sink faucet from Catalina. New Origo 3000 cook top. The Atomic 4 engine has been changed over to electronic ignition, has a Moyer electric fuel pump, new coil, carbs rebuilt by a pro, new wires, new Moyer hot section, and a complete new exhaust. The moter starts easily and runs great. The old leaking metal gas tank was cut out and a new plastic outboard tank is in the aft storage. New bottom paint 3 years ago. 3 older head sails. Plenty of life jackets and all other items needed to be safe and have fun. The boat is setup for day sailing. The original head with thru hull is disconnected. It could easily be setup with a holding tank and new toilet. I did not want to have the headaches of a holding tank so I left it as is. Better quality images are at www dot catalina27 dot link

0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false WINDSHADOW 31 foot custom built sloop This boat is being sold “as-is, where-is.” The boat was built in Long Beach, California using the best materials and design available in 1981. After delivery, the original builder sailed to Figi then to Alaska and returning to Long Beach. The boat was then transported to North Carolina where she has spent the remainder of her life. Currently the boat is in dry storage in San Mateo, Florida. I am the current owner and have used her extensively for living, travel to the Bahamas and up and down the east coast. It is an amazing boat. When I purchased the boat in 1998 the surveyor commented that he had never in his long history of surveying boats seen a better constructed vessel in his life. I am currently living outside the USA and am unable to use and maintain her in a manner deserving of this quality. While on the hard she took on fresh rain water and cosmetically damaged the cushions, some storage items, and is need of some elbow grease for sanding and re-varnishing the mahogany interior. Other than interior cosmetics, she is ready to sail. Recently installed is a Yanmar 3ym30 diesel, new central heating and air conditioning, new Adler Barber refrig and freezer. She has a Cape Horn wind-steering system, manual windlass, feathering prop, new shaft, upgraded standing rigging, and a dingy. The spreader was custom built wood with carbon fiber interior support. There are no other boats on the market to compare to Windshadow. She is truly a one of a kind and deserves a true sailor as her new owner. The boat can be viewed at Gibson Dry Storage in San Mateo Florida. For additional information please contact me.
