The overall condition is good for the age of the boat. There are a few chips in the glass - none appear to be anything other than cosmetic. The wind gauge functions but needs to be recalibrated or possibly replaced. The Auto Pilot does not function. The cockpit radio controls are not connected to the new stereo. The new stereo is Bluetooth and has phone app controls. The cockpit speakers are blown. Stock #358323 35' racer/cruiser, powered by a 21 HP universal diesel motor. Could make a nice Live-Aboard. The O'Day 35 Is the 34 but has an extended stern platform and ladder, two cabins, and could make a nice live aboard. The seller is the second owner and has owned it since 2001. They have sailed the boat on a local 10,000-acre freshwater lake. Based on the information provided, the previous owner has sailed to the Islands, added air conditioning and converted one of the two ice boxes into a refrigerator. The head has a shower and flushable toilet. You can accommodate 6 to 8 overnight guests with the two convertible settees and the aft berth. The bow has an anchor locker with anchor and a spare anchor is included. There are cockpit cushions, a dodger, bimini, and full canvas cockpit enclosure. The sails are original and have been refurbished once in 2002. They are stiff and well-suited for lake sailing. If it is your intent to race or island hop, you may want to replace them. Reason for selling is no longer using.

This vessel is in very good condition for its age. The owner has added a nice water pressure gauge conveniently located at the engine. There are no signs of mold or mildew. Inside, it smelled and looked fresh and clean. Other than a slight bit of oxidation on the chrome, everything was in tip top shape and very impressive. The seller has taken pride in taking such good care of her. She and the owner just came back from a trip to the Keys. Per the seller, everything is in working order. Stock #391985 Classic 1994 Hunter sailboat that has has upgrades added Like most Hunter sailboats, the Hunter 29.5 offers maximum accommodations, a large comfortable cockpit, and reasonable sailing performance at an affordable price. The Hunter 29.5 was designed by Hunter's in-house staff under Rob Mazza. It exemplifies a boat that appears to have been designed from the inside out rather than from the outside in. Like all production boats in this size range, the Hunter 29.5 is constructed from fiberglass composites utilizing a modular type of construction. The hull, deck, structural grid, and interior components are molded separately and then assembled into the finished product with structural adhesives or secondary bonds of fiberglass and resin. The deck is cored with balsa wood, and the hull is a solid composite. There is a nice solid clear windshield which makes steering and navigating an easy task and also an upgraded hard top that will last a very long time. Also located atop the helm is a set of solar panels with a Jupiter inverter. The 29.5 has a rather large cockpit for her size that opens at the stern to a molded swim platform. At anchor, this becomes an integral part of the cockpit adding even more usable space. This is one of the 29.5's more appealing features, and it makes getting in and out of the water or dinghy quite easy. Wheel steering is at the helm at the aft end of the cockpit, and there are two seats incorporated into the stern rail for passenger seating. Although the seller has upgraded the wooden steering wheel, the stock wheel is included with this purchase. Because the side decks are narrow with rigging shrouds at the deck edge, to go forward, the best path is over the cabin trunk. The foredeck has a small anchor locker which will accommodate a 13-pound Danforth with chain leader and 100 feet of half-inch rode. There are also two sturdy anchor rollers forward. This vessel houses three anchors. Below deck, the cabin is wide open with the only privacy offered by a fully enclosed head. There is a V-berth forward, and the main saloon features a large U-shaped dinette that comfortably seats four adults. The head and a small hanging locker are to starboard, and the galley is to port with a two-burner non-pressurized alcohol stove, a refrigerator, and a single sink. Aft and below the cockpit is an athwartship double berth. Auxiliary power is provided by a two-cylinder, 18 hp Yanmar diesel contained in an engine box beneath the companionway steps. This workhorse of an engine dominates the market in boats of this size and is very dependable. Quick access for maintenance is limited but, if necessary, the engine box can be removed easily for more serious work. The 29.5 is designed with simplicity in mind, and the large mainsail and small fractional jib certainly make tacking and sail handling a breeze for the short-handed or single-handed sailor. Included you'll find an autopilot as well as an Autohelm handheld steering device Without a traveler, the mainsheet attaches to the steering console directly in front of the helmsman. Sheet winches are also within easy reach of the helm. The B&R rig features long spreaders that are swept back 30 degrees eliminating a backstay. This necessitates tacking downwind to avoid impaling the mainsail on the spreaders, but I think that most would not find this much of an inconvenience. With the proper tacking angles, this can actually be a faster way to sail downwind. Inquire with your representative to find out more items that this seller is including with the sale of this beautiful boat! 1979 Allmand 31 Sloop, Beautiful, well-maintained, and enhanced wherever possible, this Allmand is a steal. Originally Tim Allmands personal boat, it has aesthetic touches not seen in any but the most expensive yachts. The interior is virtually all solid teak, including 3 6-panel doors, beautiful teak parquet floor throughout, teak side paneling, shelves, bulkheads and cabinets. The exterior has been maintained with yearly waxing, all woodwork varnished, bottom painting, and non-skid repainted. Updated with a brand new Lewmar Pro-series 1000 anchor windless, reupholstered cockpit cushions, and a new Garmin GPSMAP 440. Inboard Yanmar 3GM 27hp engine completely rebuilt in 2009. Both the rudder and steering wheel quadrant platform have been rebuilt with fiberglass. We bought this boat in 1991, after our third child was born, because of its spaciousness, comfort and safety. From day sailing, to cruising, and even anchoring in the open waters of Lake Erie, this boat has done it all and proven itself to be exceptional. During our cruises and trips along lake Erie, we've comfortable roomed with three children and all the provisions necessary to keep everyone happy, including: a weeks supply or more of food and drink, three inflatable kayaks with paddles, fishing tackle, board games, books, tapes to CDs, computers, and even collapsible bicycles for when we docked. And we've safely sailed, albeit unintentionally, in 50 kt. gales. As a tri-cabin it can comfortably sleep seven, two in each bed and one on the main cabin couch. All interior cushions are six inch foam. Each cabin can be completely closed off from each other, and has its own screened hatch. Throughout the boat there are seven opening screened ports, and on each side a large Plexiglas window. The kitchenette has a four burner stove, oven, working refrigerator which can make ice if turned on high, and loads of space for storing and preparing food. Additionally, the boat is equipped with a brand new 6g hot water heater, a shower hose in the head, 2 tank propane container, 2 new batteries, Kenwood AM/FM cassette player w. equalizer and interior/exterior speakers, automatic bilge pump and one manual pump in the cockpit/sail locker. The cockpit has a dodger and new Bimini with attachable heavy vinyl and mosquito netting side curtains, completely enclosing the cockpit making it a separate living space. Sail with your choice of 2 main sails, 2 jibs (150 and 120%) and a full spinnaker, and handle your sails with 2 self-tailing Barlow #25 winches, 4 Barlow #16 winches, 1 Barlow #16 on the mast for the main halyard, Harken Mark III roller furling genoa, and a Harken self-tending mainsheet traveler. Cockpit instruments include: GPS, depth sounder, knot meter/log, new Uniden Solara DSC VHF radio and Autohelm 3000. $26750, 716-688-2461

Charging SystemsIn 2004 Tai-Pan's electrical charging system was recently rewired by Rasmussen Marine Electric. Inc. for AC and DC charging. This involved installing new Phase Three model PT-14 3 stage smart charger, two battery banks (house and starter), New breaker switch for windlass, charging solinoid, volt and temp guages in cockpit, FWD bilge pump, new ground bar and wiring, with new electric switches charging, outlets, and heating. (Total cost $3,268.24),I later added a third house battery bank and three solar panels (18 w, 23 w, & 48 w) hooked separately to each battery bank w separate battery controllers. Deck:Tai-Pan has a cosmetic teak deck overlaying a solid wood deck, which is covered on both sides with fiberglas. The teak deck is tough as nails and as long as she is well caulked with Boat Life Teak Deck Sealant, her deck should stay high and dry many years to come.Recently added another scupper on both port and starboard side, to aid water drainage. Entire deck appears hard and firm, with no signs of damage to underlayment. Sails: Tai-Pan is a simple mast head sloop with a Hood twin grooved jib roller furling system? The only sails Tai-Pan really needs to go sailing are her main sail, her furling jib. However, because my plans were to circumnavigate on Tai-Pan, I have added much to her sail inventory and her rigging. Her sail inventory now consists of:Two main sails, Two Furling Genoas approximately 150% (One low cut light, and one high cut heavier sail. One Storm sail hanks onto an inner forestay with two running back stays during extreme weather conditions. One Trysail that fits on separate mast track for extreme stormy weather. One large Melges asymmetrical sail with spinnaker sock that fits on removable bow sprit. One small drifter sail (multicolored) that attaches to bow spritOne inner forestay sail w 28' of leach for cruising. One 100% yankee hank on jib sail that fits new solent stay that has not yet been installed, but has all the attachments to do so. Spars: In 2008, I removed the Sitca Spruce mast, rebonded open joints with epoxy, repainted mast, replaced old brass masthead wire sheaves with custom built Acetal (also known as Delrin) sheaves to accommodate two new main and jib halyards of VPC New England rope, which are polyester braid cover with a core of blended Vectran and MFP (polypropylene). I also replaced three old wire rope winches on mast with Barient 22's and one Barient 21. I left on wire mast up haul intact. I also installed one new spinnaker halyard and inner stay halyard of same VPC material. of same material.Tai-Pan still contains her original Sitca spruce furling boom, which would be handy for shortening sail or raising boom to accompany a high bimini.Original Sitca spruce spinnaker pole. Removable Bow Sprit added for flying Asymetrical or Code Zero sails off spinnaker halyard. Two extendable 19' whisker poles for downwind sailing wing-on-wing with two jibs, either both attached to the twin grooved Hood furler, or attached to the new Solent stay, which has yet to be installed. One white 4"x19' extending aluminum whisker pole stored on starboard deck, and one Seldon Sweden built aluminum whisker pole. One Heavy duty spinaker pole track attached to the mast, with pin-style toggle car to fit whisker poleOne aluminum extendable Forespar light air whisker pole 2" x 16.5' that I use for loading dinghy onto foredeck. Rigging: Winches: Two Barient 28 winches, Four Barient 22 winches, Two Barient 22 and one Barient 21 halyard winches on Mast, SS Steering wheel Furler: Hood furling system with twin grooved jib furler for flying double head sails. This twin grooved type of furler also allows sailing with the jib reefed to any position.Shrouds: 5/16" 1/19 SS with 5/8" eyes and six new Sta-lok terminals on bottom endsRecently added inner forestay with two running back stays for storm jib or any other inner foresailCustom Built Heavy Duty SS Mast Stepback stay with insulator for SS Radio antenna, one separate tri-sail track installed on mast, with tri-sailone removable bow sprit for flying asymetrical sail with sockTai-Pan's original chainplates had all been replaced prior to my ownership of Tai-Pan. Condition: excellent size / dimensions: 31' L, 11' 4" W, draws 3.5' Beautiful, well-maintained, and enhanced wherever possible, this Allmand sloop is a steal. Originally Tim Allmand’s personal boat 1979, it has aesthetic touches not seen in any but the most expensive yachts.
