2015 Seaward 26RK A Seaward 26RK is proof you do not have to sacrifice quality, space or performance when selecting a sailboat option that quarters fewer passengers. Accommodating two adults and two small children, our 26RK is perfect for small maturing families, or grandparents looking to enjoy retirement sailing the ocean blue. She is set apart by all sailboats in class and size because of her open cabin plan and excellent performance. You will find the cabin in our 26RK surprisingly open and spacious with sunlight brightening the cabin walls through eight opening ports. Come standard, she offers anything you would need for smaller journeys, yet the capability to enhance your stay aboard through our variety of optional equipment. With each space perfectly planned, her functionality is only one reason you will fall in love. Another reason is because of her quality design that contributes to her un-equaled performance. Like all our sailboats, the 26RK offers a performance keel and easily adjusted rudder. You maintain the same benefits of our 46RK and 32RK when it comes to ease of trailering without giving up performance. With a draft range between 15” and 6’ you can adjust to suit the water depth no matter where you sail. With control of the keel depth from the cockpit, you will find her easy to sail in any condition. Comparable draft range to the 32RK and 46RK gives you certainty your journeys across the deep ocean will give you the speed and control you need to handle any condition. Freedom is what you gain when you Sail with no Boundaries in comfort and with ease in a 26RK.

I purchased 'Maverick' from a dentist in New England who pampered the boat (kept it on a lift) for a number of years before I purchased it. I was looking for a boat that met some stringent conditions: (1) could be trailered from Great Lakes to Florida, (2) easy to launch, recover, and had a mast raising system, (3) could be kept at home during the off-season, (4) had wheel steering and inboard diesel, (5) could be sailed to Bahamas, (6) looked great. (7) comfortable sleeping for 2. Maverick met all of my expectations and more! The Seaward 26RK is made in Florida and has a two-fold purpose: to sail in 'thin water' and to be strong enough to cross the Gulf Stream to the Caribbean. Check the specs and you'll see that it's draft is only 18 inches! I recently had 4 new tires mounted on the trailer and it pulls like a dream. When I purchased it in the New England area, I pulled it 1,000 miles to its current home with a 1/2 ton vehicle (Tahoe) and it handled super. It has an enclosed head, one of the biggest V-berths I've seen and is comfortable for 2, comes with a shore power cord for the 'creature comforts' while in a slip, and I even purchased a new flat screen TV and DVD player. It's a pleasure to sail and the retractable keel can be raised or lowered from the cockpit. It can be raised all the way up allowing it to be floated onto its trailer or lowered to 6 ft. for sailing in rougher waters and heavier winds. It has a newer (crispy) headsail and mainsail and comes with lazyjacks. It has a factory mast raising system that works like a charm. Maverick was sailed on Lake Michigan and then hauled back home where it has been winterized and is stored inside a pole barn. As you can see, there are very few of these highly desirable sailboats on the market, and the reason is because they are in such high demand. So why am I selling this awesome boat? Because I found an awesome house with a whopping down payment! I would love to keep it, but I am in the process of purchasing my 'dream home,' so my 'dream boat' needs a new owner. Happy bidding.
