Restorable Cruiser, but considered a project boat, Gas tanks dirty(water), V6 engines, direct drive, last engine run:aprox 1 yr., has sat idle for over 1.5 yrs. pics over 2 yrs old. no trailer and marina does not have a ramp(Legend Point). slip rent $200/mo. Due to size and no trailer prefer local buyer. Unfortunately I've moved away from area (Austin) so cant provide u with current photos. What i can tell u about boat is in my opinion the boat needs center around gas tanks. When bought the boat from a local boat brokerage the issue was one tank had water n was tied to one engine. I was able to have it transported to a nearby ramp n on one engine n drove to current slip. Worked on re-plumb for one tank to both engines. Unfortunately, not living near by n limited help n time. I soon found water in second tank. Believe it came thru old gas caps via rain. Plus I found an electrical issue on one engine which I believe is key switch. Again available time n help has resulted in the boat to be in its current state. Also I have since moved to Austin which gave me no time to work on. Hopefully u live nearby to work on boat. Since I have to give 30 notice on slip U will have that time to work on move, unless it will be kept there, Never got to ck out generator but ac still worked last time I clkd. For all these reason I consider the boat a project boat..

An original 1969 Formula 233 designed by Don Aronow at Thunderbird, and was the original "The Cigarette" boat(see first picture) that revolutionized offshore boat hulls. This was my boat from 2008-2013 and used regularly. I pulled the original Mercruiser 165 to rebuild in 2013 and never put it back together due to having a new boat given to me. The engine and outdrive are not included in the auction. However, the trailer is included. The boat has been sitting in my barn for 2 years and needs to find a new home. The canvas was new in 2011, but is filthy from sitting. The cockpit sole(floor) is pretty solid. Carpeting was removed, and I had replaced a soft spot by the engine compartment with new marine plywood and fiberglass(see newly painted white area). Much of the teak was recently refinished with Sikkens. The 2 pedestal chairs are also brand new and have not been completely installed(see pictures). The cabin doors were also refinished but are not screwed back on(set in place for pictures). Boat was used only in freshwater(Lake St. Clair). I apologize that I forgot to take pictures of the cuddy cabin, but there is little to be seen-it's dirty, but not scary. Gage cluster was totally rewired with modern marine electricals, complete with a new fuse block. Much work has been done to this boat, but much still needs to be done. Bring your own powerplant-boat could have been ordered with single inline 6, twin inline 6's, single small block, twin small block or single big block! This is an amazing off-shore hull(just google Don Aronow formula 233 "the Cigarette") that is becoming very hard to find(at least one that is not a total wreck). It is on the original trailer that tracks and pulls well with newer bearings and bearing buddies. Trailer tires have excellent tread and are not checked or cracking(stored inside). The trailer winch will be re-installed before the winner comes to pick up the boat(just replaced retrieval eye on boat). Please ask questions and bid to win! NOTE: Someone had it retitled as a 1973 at some point-lost title? It is free and clear, and I will transfer title to you at pickup. I could part this out, but I would like to see it go somewhere it will be put back on the water.

Please call boat owner Paul at 321-427-6760. Great family cabin boat. live aboard for a young person. call or text only please, 321 427 6760 Paul . Rebuilt with closed cooling in 2000. Engine has more life remaining than most 3 year old boats because it only gets antifreeze. Most engines get sea water directly in them for cooling. This is a Sanibel model . Front and mid cabin Boat, small yacht even , both for family and extra power for dad. gets up and goes. 40 mph tops . Planes at 23. not a slow accelerator. When you are buying a used boat, its all about the power train. This one is excellent Has a closed cooling system, Engine and manifolds have never seen salt water. 270 - 290 hp , GM 350 V8, rebuild 160 hours ago. Runs great. I have a book of records and receipts, all dated. rebuild with all marine hardware plus stainless engine studs and bolts We used it as a river camper when our kids were little. pull up to an island, camp, explore, fish, sleep.... It has many good years left in it. Sanibel is a lot like a searay sundeck style boat. Sea Ray and welcraft make great boats with sustained value. Vinyl ester resin, heavy ocean hull, solid. Main and mid cabin, sleeps 4, maybe a 5th. Head , bathroom with porta potty, small galley with sink . Magic trail Trailer in good shape, Galvanized. Its solid. Boat accessories - many of each life preservers, fenders, bumpers, paddle, anchor, ropes, enough to take a large family out. too much stuff to mention. Make offer. Asking Price: 8900 Boat
