1979 Boston whaler Montauk for sale (17'), includes trailer with brand new tires/rims, motor 2 stroke Johnson 110hpRoughly 5 years ago got boat in poor condition. Sunk over $6000 in it including purchase to get boat and trailer in reliable condition and used it some ocean but mostly lake fishing. Didn't mind spending the money as I thought I would hold on to this for a long time. Runs great! and always flushed motor inside and out after every use with conditioner. Then I had kids and everything changed. Now I don't have time or space for boat/trailer/must go asap!!! I am motivated to sell. Trailer - 2 new rims/tires, rewired excepts round standard plug, new lights, new lift, new rollers, excepts 2" ball, welded on roller ball so trailer doesn’t scrape if traveling at severe angles. Trailer has newer pressure treated 2x4’s carpeted 2 years ago. Bearings replaced 2 years ago. Boat – Fresh Interior paint, rewired, newer steering components (Teleflex), Johnson 110hp 2 stroke new impeller/waterpump last summer, carb rebuilt, spark plugs new, new choke, seals for hydraulic motor trim tilt replaced, new bildge pump and hoses, comes with fuel tank & line. Has 2 fishing pole holders installed. Boat has secondary motor mount for smaller trolling motor off the back. Custom center console with military waterproof switches that operate new lights for night fishing, bilge pump, trim, and other items. Life saver floaty included, 1battery included, including bottle of 2 stroke oil and ears for water attachment to motor from hose. Motor runs great. Boat is quick and has a sporty feel. Reason for selling is I no longer have space for it, don't use it enough to justify paying rent somewhere to store it, and my main buddies have all gotten married/kids thus no need for it at this point. current registration, boat is ready to hit the water.
