1980 CAL Yachts Cal 35 MK II The CAL 35 is a classic cruiser, designed by Bill Lapworth to be safe,  comfortable, strong and fast. The current owners cruised form San Diego through the Panama Canal to Southwest Florida.  Moonshine a documented vessel sails beautifully at any point of sail and is easily handled.  She can be a live aboard or long term cruiser that really can go anywhere!   Her sister ships are found all over the world.   Moonshine is solid, spacious (6 4 headroom) and comfortable with lots of storage.  Systems have been kept simple for easy maintenance.   The large lazarettes allow easy access to the  engine.  The Universal Diesel burns almost no oil and the large heat exchanger was professionally cleaned last year.   The boat has many recent upgrades, (refrigeration, standing/running rigging,  electric panel, etc)  and full maintenance records are available.   A complete inventory of spares is available upon request.  Roll-up inflatable dinghy and engine are included.

1976 Cal/Jensen CAL 34 MK-III This is a better sailing Cal 34 than the last one I listed!  With good sails and even a mast Strong-Track for the main sail, a clean bottom and a max prop, this is one of the best Cal 34s available out-there. She's thoughtfully well-equipped with every thing you need, for PNW cruising, and ready to go.  In production for 21 years, the Cal 34 was the the most popular of all the Cal models.  Cal 34's are know for their large well designed v-berth, larger than on some 40' boats.  The 34 III is the culmination of design feedback from thousands of customers resulting in an intelligent well thought out design. These are practical utilitarian boats designed to sail well, not be a condo at the marina. Featuring a strong hand laid-up fiberglass hull, they are so well balanced, that they practically sail themselves.  With a history of ocean crossings and competitive racing, Cal 34's rarely come to market.  This Cal 34-III has been loved for the last 14 years, upgraded and well cared for by experienced owners.  Owners are moving, price has dropped, so come make an offer soon!

Nice Cal that I purchased from dealer in 2013 for $7k and renovated. New cockpit cushions. ($1k) New Electrical system. ($1k) Added battery charging system. Added automatic bilge pump. New interior ceiling, cushions, teak, gel-gloss, tile. LED lighting, table. ($2k not including labor) Fixed running lights. Fixed windows. Sails cleaned and in good condition with new batons. Engine was upgraded to 12hp yanmar about 12 years ago. ( no rust ) Working VHF and FM radios, Depth sounder. Self tailing winches. Clear hatches. NO RESERVE Head came with port a poty. It has the storage tank but I didn't get around to that detail. Fresh water system in place but I also didn't get around to dealing with that. My break even is around $12k on the boat. The boat is good mechanical and structural condition. I have kept the boat in tip top condition as i have used her for chartering, sailing lessons and racing. The rigging and sails are 3 yrs old. The 30 hp Yanmar fwc diesel was rebuilt and now has about 500 hrs. The Hurth v drive transmission is 2 yrs old.The shaft and cutlass bearing are new. The topsides have been painted with a one part epoxy paint. I replaced the entire cabin top,a 500 hr project with 15 layers of glass and epoxy. I strengthened the mast step with white oak, encapsulated in the epoxy resin and cloth. There is also a stainless plate below mast step. The interior is vanished and clean. There is no stove or refrigeration. I do have a propane system and hot water tank to be installed at some time. The cushions have all been recovered. I have kept the boat light as i do race. She has a solid glass hull, built much heavier then vessels today. I also replaced the tiller with a wheel. There is an emergency tiller. The deck is plywood cored and has no problems. She has a cockpit that will accommodate 6-8 adults very comfortably. If you are looking for a boat that can sail in 25-30knt winds and is very comfortable to sail, this is the boat. It has raced to Bermuda twice. Cal built the Cal40 in 1964 and is still a winner on the race course. The Cal36 is the "Little Sister",a classic plastic winner. She has Raymarine wind speed and depth. there is a dodger frame, but no canvas dodger. The bottom was stripped and now has only one coat of ablative racing paint. I have owned her for 16 yrs and have loved every day that i sailed her. The price reflects upgrades, sea worthiness and comfort in the cockpit. The interior has a large forward cabin and bunks for.4 more people. She good use some creature comfort upgrades ,but as a vessel to enjoy in all weather conditions, the Cal 36 is a winner.
