Carver got it right with the 366 Motor Yacht, a maxi-volume coastal cruiser that became one of the best-selling boats in her class. With her high freeboard and raised side decks, the main attraction of the Carver 366 is an expansive interior whose full-beam salon rivals anything in her class for space and comfort. The 366 layout introduced in 2003 has a booth dinette to port, across from a mid-level galleya major improvement considering most motor yachts this size have a dinette. There are two staterooms, the forward stateroom with a double bed and two hanging lockers, and the aft master stateroom with an island bed and entertainment center. (The berths in both staterooms are angled to save space.) Each head compartment has a separate stall shower. A hardtop, central vacuum system, and swim platform were standard. Built on a modified-V hull with cored hullsides and a solid fiberglass bottom, twin Volvo Penta 385hp cruise this vessel around 15 knots, maxing out around 25 knots.
