The Edgewater Heritage Line of Center Consoles are manufactured with a Deep Vee hull that can cruise offshore and navigate in shallow inland waters, making the 188 CC perfect for that first fishing boat and for the new angler to enjoy that first boat buying experience. The 188 is small enough to handle and enjoy the features onboard to fish from aft to stern.
The safety features were outstanding with stainless steel hand rails, leaning post, grab rails at every turn. The design has built-in draining at box edges, gunwales, and interior walls all providing water to pull away and allow safe surfaces. The nonskid diamond-cut pattern was along the top of the gunwales, top of bow, all decking with stainless steel thru-hull stainless steel appointments.
The helm door swings completely back to allow safe entrance to the circuit panels, stainless rack for rope storage, fire extinguisher, and safety equipment with a wall light. There are courtesy lights along the interior decking.
Stainless steel was used on the box pulls and hinges, the rod holders including those that were flush mounted and the boarding ladder. Most noticeable was the stainless steel steering wheel with Edson knob, showcasing a most beautiful and functional fishing boat.
The boat is built sturdy with all the higher class stainless steel features of the bigger boats.. nothing is spared to quality. The seating for 6 includes a captain chair that converts to viewing the transom or sliding forward to captain the water ahead.
The Garmin chart plotter is front and center for easy reference when underway or looking to get back to your favorite spot. A stainless steel steering wheel with hydraulic steering is on the helm with gauges clear and visible that includes a Ritchie compass and windscreen.
The non-skid deck is self bailing and hull is closed cell foam flotation with a Perma Grid Fiberglass stringer system. The boat is NMMA, ABYC and CE certified.
There is a 17-gallon baitwell, raw water washdown, and extra gunwale rod holders. The stainless continues with bow and stern eyes, welded 316L stainless steel one-inch split bow rail for safety. And the important stainless steal cleats and grab rails.
The seating was not forgotten and is heavy-duty marine grade UV resistant vinyl upholstery and options to remove for cleaning with snaps. The leaning post includes storage. The two jump seats have storage compartments and access to equipment.
The Edgewater 188 is compact but roomy and with the sturdy quality is a best buy for the long term which equals value for the boater.
