Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1956 20’ Century Coronado--- I think most of you already know the Coronados were the flagship of the Century Boat Company. The first year of their introduction was 1955 with major changes occurring every two years. The 1955-56 models were the only years the boats came with the mahogany fore and aft decks. Beginning in 1957 the fore decks were vinyl. I’ve owned this boat for ten years...and actually have two of them I like them so much. This one has the Cal-Connell Cadillac engine rated at 265 HP. It is the original engine with this boat. The only change is the previous owner installed a single 4-barrel because he had trouble with the two 4s. I also had this engine completely rebuilt about 3-4 years ago to the tune of about $11k...and it runs fantastic (and is FAST). There are approximately 125 hours on the engine since being rebuilt. A restoration was completed when we acquired the boat which included 5200 bottom, chrome, A&A correct interior, flooring, W/S panels, gauges, and strip/stain/varnish/paint. It’s now been ten years and the finish is just now beginning to look a little tired, with the typical plank-seam separation. There is also one very small soft spot on the starboard sheer plank in the painted area that would be easy to fix. The interior and everything else looks in very good (not show) condition. It would not take much to make her a show condition boat though. It does need a new tack cable, but I'll provide that. It also comes on a seven year old Vanguard tandem trailer that was built for the ’56. There is less than 1000 miles on the trailer. The pix I’m showing here are only a week old, and we were in her just last weekend (my wife and I in boat). I have three Coronados and am just down sizing as we use our ’63 more than anything else. Check my feedback and know she’s as described. Call or email any questions. I’ll get some of the Caddy pix on later this week, just forgot to take them. I lost my storage, so I really can’t hold the boat for long if she sells at auction. Good luck and place a bid! You’ll love this boat, everyone else does.

This Classic has been through a year-long Heirloom Quality Restoration. -Chrysler Marine 340 & Borg Warner Transmission: Stripped of all components & re-finished. The engine decals were duplicated and installed ("Add Oil" and Chrysler Marine decals on the valve cover were replaced). The transmission/engine rotation decals were also replaced. -Complete Tune-Up by a Certified Marine Mechanic: New belts, hoses, impeller, spark plugs, fuel filter, fresh oil change, new points/condenser & timing set. -Electrical: The following are new and were installed during the restoration: dash pull switches, ignition, breaker, bow light, new(old stock) neutral shift indicator light, map light/lighter, new marine battery, and new Auto/Manual bilge pump. -Bright Work: All original hardware has been re-chromed and the stainless rub rails polished by our local plating shop. The factory veneer on the front/rear decks, motor box, and dash was replaced with mahogany and finished with 6 coats of Epifanes. Both the bow and stern mahogany flag poles were refinished with Epifanes and new flags/ensigns installed. -Interior: The floors were glassed in prior to installation of new carpet. A period correct A & A Marine interior was ordered custom for this boat and installed. -The exterior of the boat has been refinished and is of show room quality. -Trailer: The 2006 Bear tandem axle trailer which is shown in the pictures is included with the boat. It is equipped with surge brakes and a removeable tongue. With only 491 Hours on the engine this is a strong running boat. Videos are available of the boat being water tested last fall just after the restoration was complete This boat was meticulously restored by a Craftsman with 20 years experience working on vintage boats so buy with confidence. Both the boat and trailer have a clear Indiana Title. Arrangements can be made for delivery. Please call (317) 938-5400 with any questions.
