The '05 Chaparral 270 was renamed the 280 in 2006. This is a Chapp 280, exact same specs. There are 340 hours on each motor.Comes with twin Mercruiser 1.7 L Cummins Diesel motors which will give you 4 times the fuel efficiency as a similar size boat with twin gas motors. Have Cruised 72 miles from Belmar NJ to Croton NY doing about 20 Knots and only consumes 32 gallons of diesel for the entire trip. Fuel efficient cruising speed is 17 - 19 knots.
