The owner is sad to report that while motoring south in the ICW west of Jupiter Island FL in late March, I hit a steel H pile and broke the front crossbeam free of the hulls, causing the mast to come down and resulting in installation of a complete new rig: mast, boom, front crossbeam, all standing rigging and masthead electrics (excepting the radar, to be bench tested prior to reinstallation). Windsong is presently undergoing repairs at the Hinckley Yacht yard in Stuart, FL Damage to the hull was slight- the mast fell across the lifelines to port and did no damage to the hulls beyond scraping off the fairing filler for about 3’ along the deck to hull edge. The port outboard stainless steel pushpit railing, lifelines and stanchions are being replaced. This vessel will be in better than before condition. New Update!!!!!
