2003 Cobia CC 314 The Cobia 314 gets high marks for her roomy deck layout, solid construction, andperhaps most important of all an affordable price. This is Cobias biggest boat yet, and while she competes in a market dominated by several high-end manufacturers, the 314 acquits herself well from the standpoint of features and value. Built on a solid fiberglass hull, the 314s large 270-gallon fuel capacity and generous storage make her an excellent Bahamas cruiser. The deck layout is arranged like most big center consoles with a standard leaning post, transom sink and cutting boards, aerated livewell, and plenty of rod storage. Note that the entire front half of the boat has a raised deck with a step up at the consolea configuration that increases below decks storage, but requires care in going forward. The Cobias large console allows for a surprisingly spacious head compartment below with a sink, shower, and even a small berth. Additional features include a transom shower, raw-water washdown, bow pulpit, and a tackle storage center. A relatively light boat for her size, twin 250hp Evinrude deliver a top speed of around 45 knots. When it comes to function and fishing versatility, the Cobia 314 has all bases covered. This is a big and brawny boat, with enough space for half a dozen anglers to fish comfortably, and the factory layout is versatile enough to handle rock fishing in the Chesapeake Bay or a tuna trip off the Outer Banks of NC.
