Here I have a correct craft mustang 17' ski boat. I purchased it in 2007. It has A merc cruiser 302 ci v8 marine engine. Inboard design with straight shaft. Is the little brother to the ski nautique which is an eighteen foot. What makes this unique is the engine package and no swim platform. With deep regret I have decided to sell it. I began a restoration in which I do not have to the time our resources to complete. The sub flooring has been removed along with the foam. The hull has been checked for cracks and is ready for the floor to be framed in, re foamed and fiberglassed. The stringers are in tact and need a minor reinforcements glued in and glassed over. I have every piece for the boat as it was running the day I took it out of the water. The vinyl need to be redone along with the seat framing. It is all complete so that the existing wood can be used as templates. Also needs to be gel coated. Someone painted it with darker green paint. Not super smooth. Comes with the original correct craft matching trailer circa 1971. This boat is very rare as most if them sustained damage to the stringers over time and were therefore destroyed or disguarded. The engine has a marine Holley 4 barrel with dual exhaust. Sounds excellent. And is very fast. The prop is a three blade that has been reduced to limit top speed and increase thrust off the line to get the big boys up out of the water. I've had it up to 45 before the ride got to rough and scary. But with a stock prop on, it is capable of 60, scary fast in a small boat. I used it for wake boarding and waterskiing. That's what it was designed for. Is not great in rough water. It is meant for smooth calm water. Or else it jumps out of the water as it is very light with a lot of power. I have replaced the trailer axle with a 2500 lb axle and larger tires and rims( was 1500 lb). I used to haul it to all of the finger lakes and Alexandria bay. No matter where I took it 4 or 5 older guys wanted to know all about it because they remembered them. I don't want to get rid of it, but I realize that someone else may have the resources to bring it back to its former glory. I would be happy to give you any info that would assist in the process.
