Here's a Montana utility boat at its finest! Take a 14 foot jon boat and add a fuel injected 15 hp outboard and you are ready to rip!The 1448M has a modified V bow to smooth some of the chop. The sides are quite a bit deeper than other "flat nosed" jons. It has a gravity feed livewell and the optional 20" transom for long shaft outboards. A 3.2 gallon portable tank with hose, primer bulb and engine connector is included. The boat has a transducer mounting bracket on the transom so you don't have to drill into the boat itself when adding a fish finder. Mercury added fuel injection to their 15 hp engines several years ago. That means no carbs thus less maintenance over the years PLUS better fuel economy AND better tune at altitude. Deluxe tiller handle is adjustable to fit your seat and arm placement. This is a fantastic modern outboard. Note that it is designed to run just fine on 87 octane standard pump gas...no worries about ethanol!This package is equipped with a 1250 pound rated trailer with radials, spare tire and tongue jack. Here's a ready-made Montana adventure! Brand new 16 foot modified V jon boat with a nearly new trade-in 30 hp outboard. This engine has just 31 hours of use. (If you don't want the special pricing of the used outboard, we can rig you up a new outboard 9.9-35hp). Our sales manager has run his personal Crestliner 1648 jon on the Clearwater in Idaho, the Columbia in Washington, crabbing on Hood Canal at the coast as well as all the Montana spots you can imagine. Small boat with big plans!The boat has welded seams with riveted seats and ribs, gravity fill livewell, oarlock sockets, grab handles at the stern and a tall transom for long shaft engines. It has a bracket for mounting a transducer for a fish finder without having to drill into the boat itself.The Mercury 30 hp engine is a 4-Stroke with electric start. A gas piston assists tilting the engine. Plus, it's fuel injected so it gets super fuel economy, adapts to varying altitudes and has computerized engine controls. It's modern and capable! This model has a longer tiller handle than smaller engines. And though it's has a bit of use, it doesn't show it...the prop and skeg are in new condition. The trailer is a big feature of this package. It has a galvanized finish and is rated for up to 1800 pounds. This nice trailer has heavy duty construction, tall road-worthy tires, swing tongue, load guides, tongue jack, radial tires and spare tire, fender steps and custom wheels. Take this one to the lake!
