2001 Cruisers Yachts TAMD74PL The Cruisers 4450 Express MY was an attempt to combine theinterior comforts of an aft-cabin motor yacht with the opendeck layout of an express cruiser—an “evolutionary step” inyachting design according to Cruisers marketing execs. Built on abeamy, modified-V hull, the 4450’s condo-style interior accommodationsand express-like cockpit layout are likely to attract buyerslooking for something a little different in their boat. Her three stateroominterior is a departure from most aft-cabin floorplansin that the salon, galley and dinette are all on the same level (althoughthe dinette is slightly elevated to provide headroom for thesmall stateroom below). The forward cabin, with a walk-in closet,is nearly as large as the owner’s aft stateroom. Note that the afthead compartment includes a whirlpool tub in addition to a separateshower stall. Topside, the tiered helm and cockpit area keepsthe captain and passengers in close proximity. Helm visibility isexcellent, and the side decks are wide enough for secure access to the foredeck.
