The 'Sea Scout' is a classic French ocean racer with lots of offshore experience. Equipment includes self-steering vane, life raft, radar, 4 anchors, 2 GPS units, SSB receiver, lee cloths, jacklines and harnesses, spare prop, and many sails. The hull is solid fiberglass, without blisters. The keel bolts are encapsuled in fiberglass (see pictures). The engine is a well maintained Yanmar 2GM, installed in 1985. The deck is foam cored, and needs work in several places. The wooden cover of the anchor locker needs to be replaced. We have sailed this boat for twenty years, but now the children are gone and our lives have changed. I hope an adventurer with offshore plans and boat yard skills will take 'Sea Scout' in a new direction.
