1994 Edgewater Dougherty Marine Marlin, Here we have an absolute fishing machine center console from 1994. The Marlin was a limited production boat only made for 2 years (1994-1995) by the one and only Bob Dougherty. This boat is production number 52. Bob Dougherty is most known for starting the Boston Whaler company which later he moved on to the Marlin or Dougherty Marine line. The popular name Marlin was one used by other companies which is why he switched the company name to Edgewater. These boats were constructed in such a way that if you were to cut the boat in half it would still float. Bob Dougherty used a special foam inside the hull which made the boats virtually unsinkable. This is the safest boat money can buy and also a heavy duty deep v which makes for a very nice ride.
