Feeling was the name given to fast, cruising yachts made by the Kirie Boat Builders in La Rochelle, France in the 1980s and early 90s. During this period all the Feeling models were also marketed as Elites in the North American market. The design by Philippe Harle was modern, putting the head aft alongside an aft stateroom, opening up a spacious salon and a forward stateroom. The interior joinery was done in lightly-stained elm, and with the well-sized ports and hatches, the interior was light and airy. The hulls were hand-laid fiberglass and the decks were cored fiberglass with molded-in nonskid surface. The basic design was with fin keel and a skeg supported spade rudder. Feeling yachts under new ownership continue to be made in France today and have won numerous European awards.
