One of the best equipped 47 Lightnings ever built (formerly 'UFO.') Original sticker almost $900.000. Staggered Mercury Racing 1075's, # 6 drives, lab finished Mercury Racing props, rigged by Mercury Racing. Big staggered twin engines is best set up for this boat. Less weight and drag than triples, less gear to maintain, better balance and much more room in engine compartment. Radical custom paint signed by Dean Loucks of The Art of Design (TOAD) make this gorgeous hull an insane head turner. Must be seen to be appreciated. Aggressive maintenance program with approximately $50k invested in last 3 years including 15k in paint work, stereo upgrade, new GPS, VHF, fathometer, AC pump. $10,000 in engine maintenance at close of last season (Nov. of 2015) to get boat fully ready to roll next season. Valve lashings adjusted regularly and well within tolerances. Turndown exhaust pipes exit underwater when not on a plane, so boat is quiet in the marina. It gets louder when pipes come out of the water as boat comes up on a plane. However, the turndowns still direct sound down to provide awesome but not overwhelming sound. The turndowns are easily removed (2 screws each) if you want to shake surrounding buildings with straight pipes! Mercury "Smart Craft" touch screen engine control/monitoring. Flat screen TV, stove top, refrigerator, shower, corian countertops. Cockpit and cabin upholstery in excellent shape. All systems work flawlessly. Includes triple axle Myco trailer also in excellent condition, cockpit cover and custom cover for area forward of windshield that protects paint from the sun, birds, etc. Stored indoors year around in climate controlled facility, lauched via forklift. Engines flushed, boat washed after every use. Detailed 3 times per season. Top speed is 115 mph, but boat has been lightly used, primarily cruised at 70 mph in Annapolis MD area. The big engines pull low RPM's at cruising speed, unlike smaller motors. Never in a poker run. The 47 foot hull makes a big difference over the 42 in waves and when it comes to room in the cabin. It is a brilliant performer. Currently maintained by Andy Imhof of Maryland Offshore Performance. The boat is turn key and ready to run. Only selling because moving to a waterfront site with only 4 feet of water at the end of the dock, so I need a boat with less draft. Call for additional details. Many more high resolution photos available. Andy at MD Offshore will discuss the maintenance history and overall condition of the boat.
