2004 Four Winns V298, With her wide beam, generous accommodations and impressivestandard equipment list, the 298 Vista became a popularmodel for Four Winns following her 1999 introduction. Shesbuilt on a relatively heavy modified-hull with cored hullsides, andher extended swim platformstrong enough to carry a PWCadds much to her modern appearance. The 298s plush interior isarranged in the conventional manner with double berths fore andaft, a convertible dinette, a well-equipped galley, and a standuphead compartment with a VacuFlush toilet. Note that the companionwayhatch is backed by a sliding screen doora usefulitem indeed. On deck, the seat cushion on the drivers side of thedouble helm seat flips up to create a leaning post, and moldedsteps in the console provide access to the foredeck via the walkthroughwindshield. Standard features include a removable aftseat, cockpit table, tilt wheel and full camper canvass. On thedownside, the engine compartment is a tight fit, and the widebeam makes for a hard (and wet) ride in a chop.
