My family bought this boat new in 1984. It's a glastron Carlson cvx20 speedboat. The same boat used in all the James Bond movies. We had a mercury Mod vp on it it 1984 and the boat did 70mph. In 1985, envinrude produced this engine, the 300hp v8 outboard! We'll we sold the modvp and bought the v8. Needless to say we never finished the project. I mounted the engine to a brand new v8 rated jack plate about 10 years ago. Again, the engine is brand new! The lower unit was noseconed and powder coated. My father was a master machinist and engineered special stainless tie bars mounted to the stringers. Everything he made. When I removed that section of flooring, I used super high quality marine plywood glassed in with west system making it much stronger than what glastron did in 1984. There is a special brand new Latham hydraulic steering system for the v8 aswell. I ran all the wiring with Marine grade wire and all connectors are marine tinned. There is a Todd fuel tank with custom mounts and brackets my father welded from aluminum and had powder coating. There are so many brand new parts as the entire gauge cluster are nos gauges from omc. The boat has been outside shrink wrapped for years, the motor was on a pallet stored inside a heated garage for 27 years. The gauges have some condensation but dry out. I have all the owners manuals for everything. The engine, I have a factory parts manual and service book. I have the boats original windshield and center console(never installed). The seats need replacement but I saved them so you can have the pattern. I have new carpet for the boat in a roll. It has a shore lander trailer. It's sad my dad never got to see this boat run, he passed from ALS 3 years ago. So obviously you are buying a project boat but everything is there to complete her. Sold as is, where is.
