1981 Hans Christian Mark II NATIONAL STOCK #34653 Accommodations The interior decor is a combination of Burmese teak staving, white overhead and interior cabin sides, teak and holly. The standard island sink has been altered to allow more standing room in the galley area, while keeping the storage and counter space intact. The starboard settee has been built into an aft facing seat back to allow comfortable seating at the Nav-station, and a second fold-down seat has been built on the sink island. WALK THROUGH THE INTERIOR: Starting at the bow is a double divided anchor locker that holds chain on the starboard side and a chain rode combination on the port side. Moving aft there are two storage cabinets for general storage both port and starboard side with the head in the center. The head is covered by a teak and holly cover that lifts during use. There is a sink and vanity and teak door cabinets in the area aft of the head . THE MASTER BERTH area is located aft of the head on the port side. It is a classic Pullman berth and will sleep two persons with comfort. There is multiple storage under the berth with eight drawers, and additional space under the berth. A custom cabinet has been added beneath the berth with shelves for parts and various storage. Across from the berth is a large double hanging locker. The Pullman berth is located just forward of the center of gravity of the yacht and is less active in heavy weather than the traditional style V- berth. THE SALON AREA is classic Hans Christian. The port side settee is "L" shape with access and egress from both ends. THE GALLEY IS EXCEPTIONAL when compared to the standard MK II 38. The island sink area has been altered to allow easy lock in standing between the refrigeration box and the island. This island is fitted with a brushed stainless round sink, filtered water system, and hot and cold pressure water systems. There is excellent storage under the sink. THE AFT QUARTER BERTH is located to the starboard side. It is designed for a single storm berth. THE COCKPIT has had a custom made helm seat area that extends to each side of the cockpit with gracious curves. Opening door panels allow additional cockpit storage, and a adjustable helm seat with back and arms has been located on centerline at the top of this custom cabinet. If the helm seat is removed from the adjustable slides, there is access to the emergency tiller fitting via a screw plate. Over all a great find for someone looking for a special Blue Water Boat!!! Long bowsprit, full keel, high gunnels, deep cockpit with dodger and Bimini Vessel needs attention to the teak decks, and interior .
