"The Thoroughbred 65 is a large (15 10) beam family house boat. The vessel has an open plan with the galley to port and the dinette area opposite. The large forward salon makes a comfortable entertaining and lounge are for up to 6 people. The forward helm station isto starboard and has good visibility. The day head and shower is aft of the guest berth. The below deck crew quarters is just aft of the galley area. The aft master stateroom has access t;o its own head & shower. The upper helm station is roomy with a full bar, comfortable seating and a gas grille. There is also a 12 inflatable dinghy with a 15hp Mercury [electric start] outboard motor. The dinghy can be launched from the upper deck using the electric davit on the starboard aft rail. A bimini top shades the forward part of the upper deck and the upper helm station. The forward deck has froom for extra seating and storage.
The Thoroughbred 65 is designed to accommodate up to 6 people in comfort [with three private staterooms each with a Queen bed]. The design is simple and affords good use of space. Her twin 315hp Yanmar diesel I/Os and 400 gallon fuel capacity give her an extensive travel range. The twin outboard keel design makes the maneuvering and sea keeping aspects notable.
