There is simply no other boat on the market that we could find that gives you so much for so little.Because of the current price of gasoline, we picked the fuel efficient maintenance free (for the first 300 hrs, then only minor maintenance thereafter) Evinrude E-Tec engine as our standard engine(s) choice. Of course we will offer as an option other brands but the Evinrudes are light weight, create more power out of the hole, never need engine oil changes and offer COUNTER ROTATING propellers which really aids to the maneuverability during docking.No matter which brand of outboard you pick, they allow our boat to go into places that other boats this size with inboards or I.O.(s) cant because our engines can be lifted nearly all the way out of the water without damaging items such as U-joints, etc (just leave the water pickup fins deep enough to pick up cooling water). You will no longer have that musty smell coming from the bilges into your living space nor will you have to scrub the bilge because there are none. The fuel tanks are where they should be, outside the cabin. (Who wants to sleep on top of gasoline tanks? Duh?)In the event of any prop damage you are able to change your own props without getting the boat lifted.I can go on and on about the benefits of our boat over other boats but to sum it all up, its very simple. Our boat is the boating version of what the automobile industry calls the CROSSOVER. It is designed for the seasoned boater. Its going to be very easy to market this boat. 1987 Gibson Houseboat, 1987 Gibson Standard Up for sale is a very nice 1987 36 foot Gibson Standard Houseboat with a Volvo Penta Inboard Outboard with under 700 hours. There is room to sleep 6 with plenty of room and more if needed. The boat has a kitchen with coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, stove, sink and more. The boat has a head (bathroom) with toilet and shower with a holding tank on board. The cuddy cabin sleeps two (or more) and is a great use of space. We have two kids and they both hang out and sleep down there (see pics). The parlor has a nice couch that folds out to a bed that can sleep two. The back cabin has a nice bed and night stand. A new Air Conditioner / Heater was installed last summer and only used a couple times. The boat stays nice and cool in the summer and plenty warm in the cooler months. There is a gas grill that stays on the boat and the back window slides opens so you can serve burgers and brats right inside to the family or off the back deck in the cove to your new lake friends. The boat has been well cared for and is located in Sullivan Marina, Sullivan Illinois just outside of Skeeters Restaurant on Lake Shelbyville. Slip Rent is $1,400.00 and is paid up through October.
