Kokomo was completely painted in June 2015 by the famed Moore's Marine in North Carolina sparing no expense the entire vessel was painted to include all the stations, window frames and guard metal. In addition custom handrails were fabricated and installed. Kokomo also has a new teak swim platform which 36" deep making it a much safer and more usable platform. In 2000 the motors were replaced with new 3208 435hp CATS. Today, the vessel has approx. 1650 hours and the generator has 1890.
