1988 Irwin Center Cockpit
The Irwin 44 Center Cockpit is a strong cruising boat and Aspire has been well taken care of by her current owners, so she is ready to go places.
Aspire has been modified from the original design, so the fold down transom was removed and stairs have been cut into the transom. This makes her easily accessible from the water and makes getting on and off the boat very comfortable. The current owners have done a extensive major maintenance on the boat including:Re-enforcing the keel;Sandblasting the hull and re-coating w/ 6 coats of epoxy before antifoulingpulling chainplates and re-enforcing the knees before reebedding; creating a custom plate and chain feeder between the bow roller and the anchor locker; removing and rebedding the stanchions and re-enforcing the toe-rails where they are attached with thickened epoxy; refinished cabin soles:installed new propane tanks & regulatorreplaced raw and fresh water pumps, faucets & added a filtration systemreplaced bilge pumps... and much more (See descriptions for details).
