Island Packets are incredibly well designed and built boats, and the 35 is the perfect size. Big enough to sleep 7, small enough to handle by yourself. It's cushy, with more space than many much larger boats (6'4 headroom!). She is ultra-stable, with a limit of positive stability of a stunning 145 degrees. A perfect blue-water cruiser. The cutter rig and self-tending staysail make it extremely easy to handle solo in any weather. The mainsail halyard and all sheets and furlers come to the cockpit. Her galley is phenomenal: double stainless sink, pressurized hot water, 3 burners, oven, refrigerator, and lots of counters. She is also a perfect live-aboard craft, hot water shower, fans, and lockers galore. The drop-down table can comfortably accommodate 7 diners. The 35HP Yanmar diesel is easily accessible from 4 sides--a dream to work on. The dodger and bimini can each be raised/lowered in seconds, allowing you to adjust quickly for comfort. The swim ladder is integral to the rear pulpit, and a magnificent feature! There is nothing that the designer left to chance: I believe the Island Packet 35 is the most well-appointed cruiser of this size. Sails include main, staysail, working jib, genoa, and spinnaker, with most in great condition. Boat comes with Garmin GPS, fishfinder, Raytheon radar, VHF, knotlog, anemometer, davits, dual CQR anchors, bimini, dodger, cover (allowing rig), refrigerator, hot water heater (engine and electric heat), inverter, dual high-capacity batteries, Dutchman flaking mainsail, Autohelm, oversized 120A alternator, 3 extinguishers, flare kit, LifeSling, fenders, boom vang & preventer, ships clock & barometer, fans, Whale Gusher pumps, screens for portholes and hatches, cockpit cushions, helm backrest, lots of spares, etc. etc. She also has an awesome sound system, with Bose speakers in the cockpit. This boat has (unfortunately) been very lightly used, and has been out of the water for a few seasons. Only 2000 hours on the engine. I put 500 hours on it since I bought the boat 15 years ago. Now that our third child is in college tuition payments trump cruising. I'm the 3rd owner, and have the surveys from the first two owners for your inspection. She has been babied throughout her life, and has had no significant problems. She is presently dry-docked in Andover, ready to haul to your harbor. The best and fastest way to reach me is by email. I'll send lots more pictures!
