1983 Lord Nelson 41 Cutter For sale, Stamford CT, 1983 Lord Nelson 41 blue water diesel auxiliary cutter , well maintained and ready for some serious offshore cruising. The Lord Nelson 41 is a dry, close winded, auxiliary cutter with an easy motion, built in Taiwan to the exacting Lloyd’s of London standards. She is a warm secure haven, whether on a weekend jaunt or headed for a distant atoll. The Lord Nelson cutters are heavy, overbuilt cruisers, 30,500 pounds displacement. The teak decks and luxurious Burmese teak interior, along with the bronze chain plates, portholes, chocks add to her displacement. Her fiberglass hull is expertly hand laid fiberglass and insulated for comfort and quiet below. The hull-deck joint is a bulwark style inset, the deck is fiberglass, over planked with teak. Life line stanchions mount to the inside of the bulwark. The mast is deck stepped with a heart of Rosewood compression post. The ballast is encapsulated cast lead. The impressive bow sprit is mounted on beds on deck. Headsails are fitted with Harken roller furling gears. She has a large, gracious U-shaped salon with built in bar and double settees, a comfortable forepeak with a double berth and luxurious Burmese teak cabinetry.  She also sports both single and double berth aft cabins, an aft facing navigation desk, and a generously equipped galley, all fashioned with luxurious Burmese teak. The salon table sports an inlaid chess board. This Lord Nelson 41 is owned by a master cabinet maker who has made numerous modifications for his comfort on long range cruises and living aboard. The same amenities that serve to make the Lord Nelson 41 a comfortable long range cruiser also serve to make this vessel a seriously well laid out live aboard for those who enjoy the ambience of rich teak and kerosene lamps.
