This well maintained trawler has been a valued member of a family for 9 boating seasons, but, alas, it's time for her to bring joy and happiness to a new family. She is an excellent 2 couple boat and has served the present owners well for fishing, kayaking, diving, hiking, shrimping, and sight seeing. She has plied all of the Gulf of Alaska waters from Homer to Valdez and has done so comfortably, economically, and safely. The present owners have stayed at sea for 2 weeks at a time while taking hot showers every 2-3 days, cooking delicious meals and serving them on real dishes while being warm and cozy the whole time. She can cruise at 7 knots while easily averaging 5 miles per gallon even when you factor in the fuel used by the Webasto forced air heating system. If needed you can run her up to 14-16 knots and still average over 1.5 miles per gallon. We have intentionally kept her systems simple, we have commonly sat at anchor for 3 days while running the refrigerator, heating system, sound system, and lights and never having to listen to a generator. Silence is beautiful!
If you're a good negotiator you may be able to talk the current owner into 3 months (June, July, and August 2016) of free moorage in Cliffside Marina, a modern, private marina located in Whittier, Alaska, the gateway to beautiful Prince William Sound.
